No one wants Jimenez, hence the reason we end up with this retread blockhead. WE have got LOADS of no common sense players on this team. DJ said it best...these arent rocket hits, these are hits you should be able to advance on. 3 straight hits, and you cant get a run?? WTF?

I seem to remember TONS of people last year pissing and moaning about how Foulke wasnt getting it done at the start of the season. Chalk that up to management, as he should have been left in the closers role REGARDLESS of the situation, much like Koch is now. ON paper, the deal looked good, and we got rid of catcher dead-weight, and got a pretty good pitching prospect in return. I'll do that deal anyday I am approached about it. Foulke was up for arbitration this year, and good ole JR wasnt gonna fork out what he wanted to stay in Chicago.

It was the right move for JM, the righty power hitter was up, u go to your righty power closer. He's the damn closer, thats his job, put him in when times are tight. No one mentions how s***ty Maggs has been, or how DJ is not doing the only thing he WAS previously doing, hitting. There are bigger problems on this team then at closer.

but, we keep him because of his "clutch" hitting!!! At least, thats what everyone always says. How clutch can you be and still hit in the 220's?

While I find myself MUCH less interested after the way this team has played in '03, I still like to see what happened in the games. I am still a fan, and hopefully someone in the city of Chicago will get this thing righted. I'll follow them either way. Why? thats the defination of a fan as far as I know...

caring about the team, and getting bombed doesnt make me feel all peachy-keen about MB. he got hammered, he hasnt got the same control he had in the past, and he HAS to have control to be successful. call it "pressing" to overcome defense (bulls***, this isnt MBs 1st game pitching with that defense), call it an obsession with St. Louis (way blown out of proportion IMO), it doesnt matter why, he got ripped, and now we will lose a game that we really needed AND wanted.

the "team" had 7 hits thru 4 IP, they are doing their job. the defense, well, its not a big shocker that the Sox defense isnt real good, "#1" pitchers can overcome that. no one in the field walked anyone on 4 pitches. no one in the field laid pitched right down the plate. but Mark Buehrle did. its not just one game...yes he has been dicked in the past 5 starts on offense, but his BB:K ratio is s***ty, and unless you are a power pitcher, that dont get it.

we're talking about tonight hsc, and it IS ALL his fault. no frontline pitcher can give up 10 hits, 10 R in 3.1 IP and not be at fault. i dont care if they make 10 errors behind him, he's a "#1" starter supposedly

you tend to get "dissed" when you give up 10 f***ing hits in 3.1 IP, and cant get anyone out when it matters. can;t chalk this one up to run support, MB

thats pathetic...there have been some problems scoring runs for MB in the past 5 starts, but this one is all on MB. 10 hits in the 4th inning....gave him a 2 run lead after 1.5 innings, and he proceeds to get hammered out there.
