A-ROD and the D-Rays
Did anyone see or hear that A-ROD gets paid, 22 milion, more that the entire Tampa Bay D-Rays at 19.5 million. Wow that is interesting. Saw it on CNN last night, and is on ESPN.com

The Official Venting Thread
Ya know it does piss me off that we are going a big O'fer, but since I cannot see any of the games, just box scores and gameupdates, I find myself very optimistic. Yet, the more I read post about the games makes me suspect maybe something is going on in the club house. Of course this is just speculation, but if I was watching this team play the optimisim that I have would become the all to familiar pesimism (sp) that I am used to as a sox fan.

How good are the Kansas City Royals?
If I'm not mistaken in 2000 when we won the division, the KC Royals bet us nearly everytime we played them. Every year it seems we have at least one team in the division that owns us. Not saying two games they own us, but every year this happens.

first game of the year and I'm already frustrated.
Hey, it least it wasn't a no hitter

Dbacks Chisox
I think every year that we have been in Arizona ( and they a team) the D'backs kick our ass in spring training. But, who cares its spring training. If we get our ass kicked during the regular season than their maybe cause for concern. No worries just getting the kincks (sp) out. ps. Hope that doesn't sound to optimistic

A's wont try to resign Tejada
was watching the news last night, and he really wants to stay in Oakland, but he understands that they will not be able to keep him because of payroll. Everyone they talked to last night felt the same way that it will be sad to see him go, but Oakland won't have the payroll. Tejada was somewhat keeping his options open, trying to sound optimistic. Of course he could be doing that for PR. Hell the manager flat out said he's not returing

kenny rogers a twinkie
why do you think the amount wasn't disclosed? I always wondered when sport teams announces a signing and they say undisclosed what that truly means.

Today's Game
Hey thanks for the play by play. It really helps when you don't have time to listen, and want to know what everyone did today.
-
no radio at all for the sox today
well worth it would be free On a side note though. 14.95 is a good price

For those out of towners
Are regular season games free as well, or do you have to pay for those. Because that is the only way I will get to hear and see, well use my imaginatio, to sox. Hell, they don't even have WGN up, so the only time I will see them is when they come to Oakland and play host.

Mike morgan
I would have to agree with not going after him for the 5 spot. Besides isn't he injury prone.

Thomas Comments
First off welcome to our loving family second nice to see another Bay area fan third, I am a Thomas fan, but will have to say that even if he has a great season, like many of us hope for, he will still cry. Everyone knows what I mean. We have all seen the images of him walking back to the dugout after he strikes out. I swear it looks as though he is going to cry. I think the sox should hire a Hug coach just for him. It will make him feel wanted, loved, and to realize hey their are eight other guys that can hit.

Who's sick of losing?
I see that you are not calling us, fans, losers, but the frachise. Why? Because they haven't won that title? That entitles them to be losers? Or is it because The SOX don't go out every year overspend on some overprieced players that will screw this team when it comes time him to play, for he has the big bucks why play. Or is is because we have recently developed our farm system, and are mixing not only youth but vets as well? Oh wait, is it because, JR, during the 90's put more effort into the Bulls? Yes, this team has a long history of not winning the WS. They have had winning records, but my guess making the playoff is still a sign of losing. In order to not be considered a winner a team must win the Big one. Please define why? Besides this is Baseball, and a lot of things have to happen for a team to win the big one, WS TO BE CONSIDERED A WINNER. I reallize that we fans come into a season with huge amounts of pessimism, but the set your self up and say your ready for another losing season the wrong out look. Just root for the team, and if we don't win the WS than hell like we always say" there's alway next year" Sorry everyone, this was my first rant. but I felt the urge

Dan Pasque
Does anyone remember him? If so I have a question. Remember when there was an Eagle sign, don't remember the company, out in RF? Well, one time Danny boy hit this towering homerun that I believe neared the concourse in the outfield, but my dad says it hit that sign. Does anyone remember. I realize this is a random thought, but it has bothered me for years.
