QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Aug 2, 2008 -> 02:30 AM) "Everything he did was just...pretty." I tend to agree with that btw, the most beautiful swing in MLB history. even though his stint with this team will likely be very short, its nice to know that one of the greatest baseball players of all time spent at least a little time as a member of the chicago white sox

Alternate Transportation to Get to Game

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 18, 2008 -> 10:16 PM) You're coming from the north which means you don't pass 35th street to go downtown, then turn around and come back. perhaps...but as far as means of getting to the game (even from the south), its viable, especially if one does not have access to a motor vehicle -
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 18, 2008 -> 06:47 PM) What happened with Jim Angio? 30 years directing white sox games http://blogs.trb.com/sports/baseball/white...s_30_years.html

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 18, 2008 -> 07:28 PM) Swisher looks to have changed his batting stance. Looks a little like Matt Stairs. yuck

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 16, 2008 -> 07:59 PM) No, no, no - the Blue Line stops at 54th/Cermak, Orland Park is out south in the 150s which is actually probably closer to 95th or even Midway. The poster that suggested a Pace bus was probably the best option. Orland Park does have Metra stops if you wanted to do that but you'd probably have to go all the way downtown and then walk a couple blocks to State Street which isn't necessarily the most efficient way. i do it all the time from the northwest suburbs and its very efficient... -
well guys its sad to go...its been a blast

i honestly think that if the sox replaced dj with steve stone, viewership among casual fans (not just sox fans) would increase nicely

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 08:50 PM) Angels win every game by 1 run. Hopefully he slows down in the second half. I find F-rod very annoying, with all the yelling and screaming he does. oh dear his yelling after every out and especially after he finishes a game is one of the things i hate most about all of baseball...its incredibly irritating.

So its stood for nearly 20 years but Bobby Thigpen's record is definitely up for grabs! http://buntdouble.blogspot.com/2008/07/sav...-isnt-safe.html 34 saves with 10 games left before the break...as long as rodriguez doesn't break down its his for the taking. :gosox2: :gosox2:

I didn't see anything else posted here and I thought it needed to be discussed. What the hell is Manny's deal? How does it get off so easily after shoving the teams travel secretary? He always has to prove how cool he is but all he does is come off as an arrogant jerk. Shawn Chacon definitely deserved to get cut, and I'm not saying cut Manny, but some order of discipline is necessary, not just a simple apology. http://www2.tbo.com/content/2008/jul/01/sp...traveling-secr/ http://buntdouble.blogspot.com/2008/07/man...ny-asshole.html

QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jun 27, 2008 -> 11:40 AM) Time for the 2008 White Sox to put up or shut up. theres no way dumpster keeps this up for the length of the season...i dont see how someone can struggle so terribly at times as a releiver but when it comes to starting they can magically find their control and be one of the best pitchers in the NL. dumpster is a ticking time bomb...we need to destroy him today.
