Chris Singleton picked the White Sox. That's all that really matters in my book.

"The Lost World Series celebration Tape"
IamPabloOzuna replied to IamPabloOzuna's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (The Critic @ Apr 2, 2010 -> 09:49 PM) Man Soo Lee was/is The Man........Soo. He gave my daughter a signed baseball and hugged my wife. Yeah, that's right. I wasn't about to stop him - he's f***in' MAN SOO LEE, for cryin' out loud!! Proud owner of a Man Soo Lee signed ball right here...he was a definitely a real treat. -
http://www.csnchicago.com/pages/soxdrawer Chuck Garfien dug up an old world series tape and wrote a little article about it. With Ken Rosenthal's article, and now this...it doesn't hurt to dream does it??

http://www.csnchicago.com/pages/soxdrawer Is it any surprise that Danks has Texas beating Kansas in the final??? Props to Gordo for calling the Old Dominion upset over ND.

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Mar 14, 2010 -> 08:08 PM) Bring on the Flyers. They knocked us out of the NIT two years ago. Hope we can get some revenge. Amen brother.

QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 10, 2010 -> 06:07 PM) I'm not trying to segue this into an NFL discussion, but, did you know that he's never lead the NFL in tackles and has only been in the top 10 three times? 2009 Injured 2008 49th with 15 MLB's with more tackles. 2007 10th with 5 MLB's with more tackles. 2006 6th with 3 MLB's with more tackles. 2005 13th with 7 MLB's with more tackles. 2004 Injured 2003 22nd with 6 MLB's with more tackles. 2002 2nd with 1 MLB with more tackles. 2001 11th with 8 MLB's with more tackles. He's a very good LB but is getting "white guy" fan attention. How has Briggs done in comparison? Tackles Urlacher 2009 3 2008 79 2007 92 2006 92 2005 97 2004 52 2003 87 2002 115 2001 89 Briggs 2009 93 2008 90 2007 83 2006 109 2005 83 2004 102 2003 65 Looks to me to be pretty even. Why are there no "Briggs to the Hall" articles? First and foremost, tackles alone isn't necessarily an indicator of someone's ability and impact, just like K's alone don't indicate someone's ability as a hitter. Briggs is cursed because he's had to live in Urlacher's shadow since day 1, even if he has been just as good, if not better. That's not to say that Briggs hasn't gotten any recognition, because he has. When its all said and done, I have a feeling both guys will be remembered well.

QUOTE (sf_soxfan @ Mar 10, 2010 -> 03:25 PM) Danks with a diving catch in the alley, after he himself was robbed of a double a couple innings ago speaking of danks...csn had a story on the danks brothers yesterday. http://www.csnchicago.com/pages/player?is_...p=1&dord=mr

QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 10, 2010 -> 05:26 PM) Don't get me wrong. I like Urlacher. It's just that I think that he's overhyped by quite a few Bears fans. Stop. You're getting too caught up in his recent struggles, both on and off the field. Look at his impact as a whole, from his top notch rookie season to today. Not to mention he's highly respected around the league. Peppers even said that one of the reasons he wanted to come to the bears was to have the chance to play with someone like Urlacher. He'll go down as one of the all-time greats in Bears history.

Garfien: Sox made serious play for Halladay
IamPabloOzuna replied to IamPabloOzuna's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 05:53 PM) That doesn't seem to be what he was implying. I have a feeling it was Cliff Lee though, instead of Halladay. If you watch the video, kenny pretty much gives it up that it was Halladay. Plus Garfien was just on Chicago Tribune Live and said it was Halladay. -

QUOTE (WHITESOXRANDY @ Dec 28, 2009 -> 11:33 PM) Aubrey Huff makes the most sense to me: 1. Left Handed 2. Won't cost a lot. Probably one year deal for $ 4-5 mil. 3. Still young compared to other guys - just turned 33 last week. Could be part of future as well as this year. 4. Can play 1B, 3B, RF and LF 5. Is a really good hitter and a true upgrade for the Sox. 6. Doesn't strike out a lot. Has never struck 100 times in a season. 7. No Scott Borass to deal with. 8. Still has some mobility. 9. Had a down year last year but a monster year in 2008. well you've got me sold

Per TSN White Sox have #3 rotation in MLB
IamPabloOzuna replied to striker's topic in Pale Hose Talk
http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/chi-2...,2912624.column Phil Rogers ranks the top 13 rotations in baseball...and lets just say he's not on the same page as TSN. But to be fair he used his very own, super-duper, extra special, top secret formula. -
Idle speculation ~ Kenny Williams' Sox Future
IamPabloOzuna replied to Texsox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 26, 2009 -> 10:28 AM) Psst, its Kenny Williams's Psst...Williams' is fine as is. When indicating singular possession for words ending in "s," a single apostrophe is fine. Adding the additional "s" as you noted is also acceptable but not absolutely necessary. -
QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Nov 19, 2009 -> 11:38 AM) It really sucks to get something wrong AND be called champ nearly as bad as "boss." "hey boss." "whats up boss?"

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 5, 2009 -> 05:58 PM) Don't cry. Dry your eye. Here comes your mother with those 2 little guys. Her mean mother steps then says to me, "Hi!" decked sally in the face and punched her in the eye.
