2018-2019 Official NBA thread

Mike would never demand a trade. He might demand they get rid of someone. Of cours MJ didn’t think he needed as much help to win . I think the timing here is what is bothersome. If you aren’t going to make a demand onc e the summer starts, why not play until the deadline. If they don’t trade him, is sitting going to do him any good? Is playing with a roster that is now disfunctional going to do him any good? Tai will stick with him, but it is like when Jimmy and Wade split off from the rest of the roster. Jimmy is good. But he isn’t Jordan. He isn’t Pippen, and the Bulls and MJ put up with a lot of Pippen BS . and really thank God he isn’t here because he would be pulling this shit with the Bulls and even though most thought the Bulls should have received more for him last year, now they would get even less. -

I thought that was strange too. I am guessing he must have given a him or me thing with KAT and maybe even Wiggins. -
Wouldn't this mean a little more if Giolito actually had an ERA below 6.00? What's next, Adam Engel speaking about the impact Todd Steverson has had on his offensive game?

It's very weird: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/24950981/jimmy-butler-heated-practice-timberwolves What I don't get is Jimmy did this wrong. If he wanted out, right before the season starts when teams aren't planning to add a contract like his is just wrong IMO. Pop off either at the end of last season or at the deadline. -
Bobby Witt Jr. with a questionable hit tool and swing and miss question marks is exactly the kind of guy the White Sox don't seem to be the ideal organization for him to be drafted.

What were the founders' thoughts on gerrymandering, and trying to stifle the vote?
-
The President with the really big brain got fooled inadvertently by Fox News. They had someone on who was talking about the protesters. The ones Trump insists were paid. They were saying they weren't and the reporter sarcastically said they were upset they hadn't been paid as of yet. Trump took that to mean they were supposed to get paid, but didn't get their checks yet. He got it out at a rally and on the twitter. Genius.

So Angel Hernandez was umpiring at 1B last night, and had 4 replays. 3 of his call were overturned. He is awful. I thought umpire playoff assignments were performance based?
-
But not to the extent it is today. 250 years ago, they didn't anticipate 40 million people in one state and 1.2 in another.
-
Slightly over 1.6 million. 11th time in the last 12 seasons it was lower than the previous season. Considering they basically have discounted their tickets about as much as they can, it's probably at rock bottom. I would expect it to go up next year unless they jack up prices significantly.

I think every vote should count the same. The guy lost by 3 million votes. He himself was against the electoral college. He himself has said time and time again, the electoral college favors democrats. Of course through out the millions upon millilloims of illegal votes, all not for Trump, and he wins the popular vote. Think about what he says, and how many actually buy it. It really is astonishing.
-
So you are saying votes in California shouldn’t count the same as votes in Wyoming or the Dakotas....
-
The founders had no clue each Senator in WY would represent about 600,000 people, while each Senator in CA would represent over 19,000,000. Please. Your vote shouldn't count 30 times more because you live in WY vs. CA. She won the popular vote by over 3,000,000. Again, I don't know why someone who lives is CA vote s/b less valuable than someone who lives in some small county in IA. As far as I know, the federal tax rates are the same for taxpayers in every state.

Dear FO: Harper VS Machado, Soxtalk Will Help You Decide

So you have been popping off on this board for months the 2020 White Sox would win over 100 games. Now because of one easy to predict injury, they won’t be ready to win? I know Kopech is a good prospect but is he really 10-12 extra wins good? -
The 51 senators who voted to confirm Kavanaugh represent approx. 140 million Americans. The 49 who were opposed represent 180 million Americans.
-
Look at the photo again. He wasn’t touching her, and he, like Kavanaugh, denied anything inappropriate happened.
-
Susan Collins didn’t need a hearing or sham FBI investigation to call for Al Frankenstein to resign. Just the woman’s word.
-
It is amazing how this tax fraud story and the debunking of Trump the businessman has just gone away.
-
It doesn't reflect the country either. A republican hasn't won the popular vote in a US presidential election in 30 years except for Bush in 2004. Gore got screwed, that cost 2 seats. Merrick Garland is another seat. This should be a left leaning Court, just like the country.
-
For someone who seems to be slamming the political process of this, Collins seems to be basking in her position as key vote. Most people send out a tweet or press release. She gives a long speech.
-
She has always said Kavanaugh told here Roe v Wade was safe. When it gets overturned, she will say he lied to her. Who would think this guy would lie?
-
He will because it doesn't matter and it will help him in that state. If Collins was no, so was he.
-
No surprise. Big talk, no action guy. Got his cover. I think the other 2 will vote the same way, so basically it comes down to Collins. If she says yes, that will give Manchin the cover to vote yes because he gets in anyways, and it will help him at the polls. If she votes no, he will vote no. I am assuming she'll vote yes. Probably discussing the package for her vote right now.

All these people paid off by Soros. It's funny. There are some really great amateur actors. Just more of Trump's shtick. His press conference to kick off his campaign was filled will people he paid $50 to cheer him on. It is almost without fail when he is accusing someone of something, he either is currently committing what he is accusing or has in the past. Pay your taxes .

I wonder if trashing women accusing men of sexual assault comes from the basement of love. He actually ripped Al Franken for being weak and resigning.
