Does Didi’s injury make Machado a lock for the Yankees?
-
The Yankees are going to trade Sonny Gray. He won't cost anything and his arb figure won't be much. I would much prefer rolling the dice with him than bringing Shields back.
-
The Sox won’t get where the Cubs are, but right before they started winning, Cubs TV ratings were dismal as well.

Chili Davis got the boot.

Swing is shorter, strike zone smaller. To me it’s a huge advantage as long as you can generate enough power. But with the golf balls they are using, the smaller parks, and weight training, little guys have a much better shot of being able to do that than ever before. go to a PGA tour event. A lot of the top golfers are really little guys.

Someone should tell hm Obama wouldn’t do anything about it either.

I don't know why 5'11" is a bad thing anyway. Reggie Jackson and Dick Allen are 5'11". But it's sort of taboo to draft a 1B that high. If he's the best hitter, who cares? I guess the 1B position is one to move people who can't field elsewhere.

Another part of Jimmy's act yesterday was Rachel Nichols "just happened" to be in Minneapolis yesterday for an interview. This was all an act. -

I was watching a round table on CSN last night where no one had a horse in the race, and all of them dealt with Jimmy since he was drafted. Every single one of them mentioned how he has changed, and what a pain in the ass he is now. That all he is doing now in an apparent effort to get traded quicker is doing nothing to help, and teams will question whether to give him the max. What he did at the end with the Bulls, and what he is doing now, is not being a good teammate. If he has issues with work ethic etc. he needs to bring that up privately, and realize not everyone is wired the same way. He also isn't making Thibs flinch. He thought it was their best practice yesterday, and is like Lloyd Christmas when it comes to thinking there's a chance. -

He isn't good at teaching. He's good at b****ing. He did it with Wade, calling out his teammates. He's a great player, but the Bulls weren't going to win anything with him. Minnesota isn't going to win anything with him, and most likely his next team won't win anything with him. At this point in his career, there is nothing to suggest he makes his teammates better. -

That’s why to me the games are more interesting, but the league is less interesting these days. Once superteams came into play, it is hard to win it all without getting a couple of stud free agents. GS initially won without it, but they probably were one and done. If only championships are acceptable, most of the league is in trouble. -
6.18 ERA first half. Got it down to 6.04 in the second. I am not as optimistic about this as you. He did have his moments. But lots of people could put up the numbers he put up.

Mike would never demand a trade. He might demand they get rid of someone. Of cours MJ didn’t think he needed as much help to win . I think the timing here is what is bothersome. If you aren’t going to make a demand onc e the summer starts, why not play until the deadline. If they don’t trade him, is sitting going to do him any good? Is playing with a roster that is now disfunctional going to do him any good? Tai will stick with him, but it is like when Jimmy and Wade split off from the rest of the roster. Jimmy is good. But he isn’t Jordan. He isn’t Pippen, and the Bulls and MJ put up with a lot of Pippen BS . and really thank God he isn’t here because he would be pulling this shit with the Bulls and even though most thought the Bulls should have received more for him last year, now they would get even less. -

I thought that was strange too. I am guessing he must have given a him or me thing with KAT and maybe even Wiggins. -
Wouldn't this mean a little more if Giolito actually had an ERA below 6.00? What's next, Adam Engel speaking about the impact Todd Steverson has had on his offensive game?

It's very weird: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/24950981/jimmy-butler-heated-practice-timberwolves What I don't get is Jimmy did this wrong. If he wanted out, right before the season starts when teams aren't planning to add a contract like his is just wrong IMO. Pop off either at the end of last season or at the deadline. -
Bobby Witt Jr. with a questionable hit tool and swing and miss question marks is exactly the kind of guy the White Sox don't seem to be the ideal organization for him to be drafted.

What were the founders' thoughts on gerrymandering, and trying to stifle the vote?
-
The President with the really big brain got fooled inadvertently by Fox News. They had someone on who was talking about the protesters. The ones Trump insists were paid. They were saying they weren't and the reporter sarcastically said they were upset they hadn't been paid as of yet. Trump took that to mean they were supposed to get paid, but didn't get their checks yet. He got it out at a rally and on the twitter. Genius.

So Angel Hernandez was umpiring at 1B last night, and had 4 replays. 3 of his call were overturned. He is awful. I thought umpire playoff assignments were performance based?
-
But not to the extent it is today. 250 years ago, they didn't anticipate 40 million people in one state and 1.2 in another.
-
Slightly over 1.6 million. 11th time in the last 12 seasons it was lower than the previous season. Considering they basically have discounted their tickets about as much as they can, it's probably at rock bottom. I would expect it to go up next year unless they jack up prices significantly.

I think every vote should count the same. The guy lost by 3 million votes. He himself was against the electoral college. He himself has said time and time again, the electoral college favors democrats. Of course through out the millions upon millilloims of illegal votes, all not for Trump, and he wins the popular vote. Think about what he says, and how many actually buy it. It really is astonishing.
-
So you are saying votes in California shouldn’t count the same as votes in Wyoming or the Dakotas....
