by White Sox pitching standards after lester's 120+ pitches tonight he should not record a win again this year. Ramirez will swing at something over his head and pop it up on the infield -

Lester has nothing and Morel just got schooled. This is a really pathetic showing yet again from the offense. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 30, 2011 -> 07:59 PM) I'd rather he play left. As bad as Rios is, there's still upside. There's none with Pierre. so would I but Pierre is going nowhere as he is doing the job guillen wants him to do as s***ty as that is. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 30, 2011 -> 07:55 PM) I agree. I can't believe it. May as well ride him and see what you've got. Outside of PK, Ramirez and to a lesser extent CQ, we're getting nothing from anybody else. Lillibridge really oughta be the starting Cf with Rios as the 4th OF -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 30, 2011 -> 07:49 PM) Guess the bright side is Lester has thrown almost 100 pitches. Probably won't see him past the 6th. yes but they should have at least 5 runs. -

Guillen really needs to stop managing as he is putting players in position to fail rather than succeed. He needs to sit back and let them paly. As meh as Peavy has looked, Lester has looked worse, yet their offense will get him a W -

I have some faith that Beckham will get hot but Dunn and Rios look like they are unable to play the game any longer. -

They have worked the count well and Lester at 38 pitches. As I say this you know he will throw 38 pitches over the next three innings. -
At least Harrell saved the pen. Boston has a DH on the road and hopefully this first game goes a good 15 innings. The tribe are coming down to earth and the Sox have played 5 more games then them so who knows....why do I even care.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 29, 2011 -> 02:04 PM) Edwin Jackson is a solid 3 or 4. Danks is way better than that. Based on what? He has gotten no better the last three years and really struggles with his control. His average innings per start is 6. Thus he is a 6 inning pitcher a nice #3 and solid #4.
-
well this offense is looking sharp. 1st and 3rd nobody out and a ball does not leave the infield.....yes this will all turn around shortly.
-
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 29, 2011 -> 01:53 PM) in fairness to harrell, these guys are just teeing off w/no pressure to have a good AB that is what the White Sox do every at-bat.
-
Wow is this an epic failure when this is the guy you bring up....the Jeff Gray decision is making this organization look like fools and no I do not think Jeff Gray is anything above average but he was doing his job with the Sox. Danks should have been left in there for another inning and Harrell should finish this game no matter the result and be immediately sent down for another arm.

QUOTE (kapzk @ May 29, 2011 -> 01:41 PM) I don't understand why Peavy didn't start today especially vs the righty heavy Jays. Because this team is pretty unorganized when it comes to doing anything other than going with their gut. Danks should have pitched yesterday instead of Floyd and Peavy today. I know there are routines and we can not expect guys to go out of their norm and thus we will go to Boston having lost three straight. Boston has DH today so the Sox should make their pitcher work tomorrow. You know the starter whoever throw no extra pitches. I cannot wait until the heavy road schedule begins to be talked about. This season ended with the 1-6 home stand.
-
Danks does not have the control of his pitches and is a solid #3 or #4 because of it.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 29, 2011 -> 12:50 PM) And if I am Ozzie, Danks is throwing 100 pitches no matter what. Numbers be damned. 120 like the rest of the starters. There is an off day this week so the 6 man rotation is not needed. The advanced scouting of the White Sox is an area that is never addressed but it is f'ing brutal as was pointed out by Adam Dunn. When Danks pissed down his leg in early April against Oakland I had a feeling this season was not headed in the right direction for him. Send Sale down to start and put Danks in the pen until something is done with Jackson. Finally, Danks should have been skipped as the Jays tattoo LHP.

That Jeff Gray move looks even more odd as he was doing exactly what they wanted Pena to do. Now the Sox are saying they are not happy with Pena when he has been ineffective for over two years.

Games won by the White Sox on 5/26/11 = 1

I will say this for Pierre he at least is getting on base more and is having the exact same season he always seems to have. Wish a good amount of other guys could say the same. -
Hopefully the Sox play well and I can watch MLB Network non-stop for sports

The officiating is as brutal as always and it makes the NBA a joke in my book. I am glad Jordan was a Bull
