  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 26, 2011 -> 09:45 AM) Slice it how you want, the play was pass interference. I honestly don't know the rules well enough to make that call.
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 26, 2011 -> 09:19 AM) I will say, despite the fact that the Bears lost fair-and-square, that the no-call on the Hester pass interference was a crock of s*** and completely obvious. the one where Hester ran directly into the CB?
  3. I still extend my offer to help but I don't really have any experience
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 25, 2011 -> 08:19 PM) If you told anyone before the game that the Packers would get to 27, you'd say that the Bears weren't likely to win. Well that's exactly my point, you never, ever have hope of the Bears offense actually winning a game. It's always about the defense hold the other team to less than 20, then maybe the offense can scrape together enough points.
  5. QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 25, 2011 -> 07:51 PM) Stellar defensive performance? What game were we watching? They were getting penetrated like a 20 dollar whore, the score was 14-0 before anybody really knew what was going on. No that wasn't a comment on this specific game but on the only thing Bears fans can hope for for basically my entire life. Without a stellar defense, this team is dead because their offense is garbage every single year.
  6. QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 25, 2011 -> 07:45 PM) lots of big plays in the passing game were missed today for various reasons (cutler with poor throws, receivers dropping catchable balls, refs missing PI etc). The team misses earl bennett more than people realize That's both very a true and a huge indictment of the talent level on this offense.
  7. The last two weeks have just been bad football games, not really enjoyable. I'm getting really tired of watching the same team for the past 10 years--relying on a stellar defensive performance and a completely inept offense.
  8. QUOTE (Tex @ Sep 25, 2011 -> 03:35 PM) yeah, they did get lucky. The past thirty years have been pretty solid for investments. except for all of those recessions and a lost decade+.
  9. It sure would be nice to have a professional offense.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 25, 2011 -> 01:41 PM) At least before 3 of them got hurt, so do the Bears. Jennings, Driver, Finley vs Williams, Knox, Bennett. Hmm.
  11. yeah but he has actual NFL WR's running routes for him.
  12. Rogers is the better QB but he'd still be mediocre with the rest of the "talent" on the Bears offense.
  13. http://www.ssa.gov/policy/docs/ssb/v62n1/v62n1p47.pdf basically the galveston plan is worse for anyone but "very high income" singles over time.
  14. QUOTE (Tex @ Sep 23, 2011 -> 08:34 PM) I wish I could find the study on-line, there is a nifty correlation between the rate and experience of the defendant's lawyer and the likelihood that the defendant will receive the death penalty. Oh absolutely.that's one reason theresa a racial disparity-minorities are more likely to end up with overworked public defenders.
  15. QUOTE (Tex @ Sep 23, 2011 -> 08:03 PM) Not really OJ was found not guilty. owned
  16. lol my wife has had similar stories already this year
  17. lol that face is the definition of "smug"
  18. This was a pretty interesting back-and-forth between Romney for several reasons, but mainly Perry just looked completely out-classed in his response. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QymX8cPVic#
  19. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Sep 23, 2011 -> 11:31 AM) The obligatory crowd lowlight was the booing of a gay soldier who asked a question about DADT. Santorum's bizarre answer to the question was pretty awful as well. He also never thanked the soldier for his service.
  20. State and local taxes often tend to be regressive, which counter-balances progressive federal income taxes. You also have the capital gains and dividends tax rates that make up a significant portion of the income and taxes on those at the top, plus more flexibility to form tax shelters.
