QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 30, 2011 -> 12:18 PM) Known leader of a terrorist group planning to attack/kill/injure Americans and their allies in a time of war v. assassinating an unknown nutcase = two different situations. I don't see a problem with it. With Paul's comments or with the assassination? Greenwald is, predictably, melting down over this.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 04:07 PM) So outside of what I want to do for my condo building, I am also looking for this: I am storing my motorcycle, my scooter and sea-doo all in the garage of my house in Michigan. I wanted to set up maybe 2 IP cams in the house, one by the bikes and one by the garage to catch anyone trying to steal my s***. Does anyone have any experience with setting up webcams like that to possibly record motion footage in the cloud? A lot of the home and commercial security systems have smartphone and internet apps and push notification. Not sure about recording to the cloud directly but I wouldn't see why you couldn't back out up real-time.you could use passive ir for motion sending to trigger thee cameras. there might be some video capture systems out there for residential...video is running continuous but only events around alarms are recorded to save on disk space, you get pre-alarm, alarm and post-alarm to see exactly what triggered it. There are some diy home security forums out there, they might have more direct experience with what you are looking at.

I don't have experience with wireless systems, but here's a Bosch guide on selecting CCTV cameras that may help in picking out lenses, types etc. Bosch is going to be top-of-the-line, but I don't think they offer anything wireless (susceptible to jamming).

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 11:59 AM) Sure, it might not work out, but continually watching the Bears' defense play great while the offense is a clusterf*** is beyond f***ing annoying, and that's been my entire point with every post. Read. Please. I expressed this same sentiment after the Week 2 game in this thread. I've seen the same s*** from them my entire life. Just once, it'd be nice to root for a professional, modern NFL offense. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 11:49 AM) Packers: Favre, Rodgers Bears: Harbaugh, Willis, Furrer, Walsh, Kramer, Kreig, Mirer, Stenstrom, Moreno, Matthews, McNown, Miller, Chandler, Burris, Stewart, Grossman, Krenzel, Hutchinson, Quinn, Orton, Greise, Cutler That the Bears have had a s*** offense for two decades is the point. -
"Perry’s close alliances with pro-Islamic Republican activists like Grover Norquist give additional cause for concern. Norquist supports open borders and amnesty for illegal aliens and is well known in Washington, D.C. circles for his tireless efforts to build Republican bridges to pro-amnesty groups and to slander advocates of immigration enforcement as “racists.” Norquist also has close ties to the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR), whose Houston chapter bragged in a recent newsletter that “Rick Perry’s relationship with Muslims may set him apart.” ... Does Perry think he can talk tough in defending the Texas death penalty and then waffle on border security and taxpayer support for illegal alien children? Why does he think he can claim to be the “tea party candidate” while endorsing a whitewash of Islamic extremism in Texas schools?" - Former Congressman Tom Tancredo.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 11:21 AM) There is nothing wrong with the defensive scheme. The sample-size for games against the Pats and Colts is WAY too small to think about, while the Bears have handled Rodgers better than any other team. Also, the Bears' history against the Saints has been pretty stellar. Hell, they beat their asses down a couple times, including in the NFC Championship Game leading to the Super Bowl against the Colts. Last year they held GB to 17, 10 and 21 points. They gave up 34 to the Jets, 26 to the Eagles and held every other team to 20 or less. -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 11:08 AM) Again, this just fits into what the Bears want to sell you. Yes, this scheme works against the s***ty to average teams out there. Not the perennial powers like GB, NE, NO, IND, etc. Teams with actual offensive lines and good QB's. They get destroyed unless they get lucky with some fluke turnovers/special teams play. They've shut down elite QB's and offenses plenty of times with this defense. It's predicated on TO's so I wouldn't call them flukes. -

Cutler's pretty clearly not at the Manning/Farve/Brady/Rogers level though. Maybe he could be, but he's not there yet. -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 11:03 AM) If Angelo could have provided at least a competent offense to go with the stellar defense, the Bears would have won at least two SB's in the last decade if not more. He should have been fired about 3 years ago for failing to address the o-line and receiver situations (along with Lovie, who is absolutely worthless and one of the worst game managers in the league). I've come around on Lovie lately. He still makes some dumb moves with TO's and reviews, but his defensive scheme is solid more often than not. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 11:02 AM) This is my entire point. One or two correct personnel moves to address the O-Line, and giving Cutler one legit WR, and we'd be talking about a team with much higher upside. I said, the Bears have been good the past decade. They have completely ignored their glaring holes continually which kept them from becoming a legitimate Super Bowl contender year in and year out. When he wasn't ignoring them, Angelo was drafting guys like Inglesias and Bauzin and Wolfe in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 10:56 AM) Because they had Brett Favre for 15+ years. End of discussion. And the Bears are fighting the Lions for room in the basement without fellow future HoF player Brian Urlacher. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 10:56 AM) Would it then be fair to say the Bears have been a super bowl threat for Lovie's entire tenure? More often than not, not every year. Those opportunities were squandered by Angelo's terrible drafting and refusal/inability to address the offense. -

Where are the quality players that Angelo has drafted on defense? Briggs, Tillman...and? Without inheriting HOF talent at MLB, this would be an average defense at best. He's failed to find good CB's and safeties outside of Tillman. He keeps taking d-line guys, but other than some early success for Harris, what does he have to show there? -

The Packers didn't miss the playoffs last year because they beat a Bears team that struggled to put up any damn points.
