  1. No you can do it via CD or DVD. alternatively just tell them to get an external HDD so that they can backup any important files (pictures?) then wipe.
  2. I have a framed photo of it from when I was a kid at my parents, I'll see if I can dig it up!
  3. agreed with both posts. The story in the article is that it hasn't been helpful, not that it's been harmful.
  4. I've bothered the admin of another forum I post at that uses tapatalk, here's her answer to my cost/difficulty question: They run vbulletin but I did check to make sure IP.Board is supported before asking.
  5. Oh yeah the game's fun so far, just completed the first assassination. But my god that voice acting is just awful. I can picture a guy in a sound booth reading straight off the paper with zero emotion.
  6. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 15, 2011 -> 10:49 AM) The program seemed promising, as I first installed it on my computer to check it out. The problem is that I can't install a program on my parents' computer because I need be "logged on as an administrator to install the program". So, I'm back to where I started. I think there's something on that page about making a Linux boot disc. You'd boot to Linux from your CD-ROM instead of loading Windows. Then you run this simple program, choose a new password and you're in. I don't know the first thing about Linux but I remember this being really quick and simple. If that page doesn't have it just google around some more, "linux boot disk windows password" is one of google's predicted searches as you're typing so it should be pretty easy to find.
  7. playing through the original assassin's creed, wow is the voice acting awful for the main character. Maybe I'm just spoiled because my last few games have been ME2 and RdR
  8. I seem to remember forgetting my admin password on an XP machine years ago and finding a Linux boot ROM online that lets you just change your XP password. This may have been a Windows 2kPro machine, though. google: http://www.petri.co.il/forgot_administrator_password.htm
  9. I'm willing to look into this and possibly help implement it!
  10. I think you guys are taking a throw-away joke thread too seriously.
  11. Eh go back to the OP, not the intentionally over-the-top language to compare it to the Danish cartoon of Mohammed controversy. The most plausible explanation here is that it's still far too dangerous in a business sense to make fun of a failed VP candidate who quit as a 1/2-term governor of Alaska.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 15, 2011 -> 08:30 AM) To avoid losing subscriptions, to avoid controversy, Those are exactly the same thing I'm saying.
  13. It's a plausible explanation for refusing to publish a popular comic strip that's making fun of Palin. Can you think of another explanation?
  14. Because Andrew Sullivan told me so, Balta.
  15. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Sep 14, 2011 -> 06:27 PM) I will do it if Huntsman wins. I really don't like him. also, after Newt gets his campaign in high gear, i think you will decide to vote him. you will forget all about voting for Obama. you've got a pretty serious hatred for Huntsman. He run over your dog or something?
  16. QUOTE (God Loves The Infantry @ Sep 14, 2011 -> 05:41 PM) Censorship is bulls***. That being said, nothing in here suggests that Palin or her followers had anything to do with the censorship. It seems the newspapers did that on their own. So this isn't her or her followers fault. At least, not as far as I can tell from these sources. Well the thing is they're censoring out of fear or reprisal from her nutty adherents, not because they've actually made threats beforehand.
  17. lol love the straight line for Christianity. Crusades?! What were those?
  18. this is the author: http://www.amu.apus.edu/academic/faculty-m...lliam--gawthrop WND has carried his brilliant work! http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=38575
  19. It's an awesome app for Android and the iPhone that really streamlines forum browsing/posting for smartphones. It's 100 times better than actually browsing via phone. I *think* its free for forums to use. http://www.tapatalk.com/
  20. the only answer to underachieving players is to cut them, even if its the first year of a huge contract. its impossible for a manager to simply bench them and try it again next year.
  21. The Heritage Foundation is a right-wing anti-government think tank that routinely publishes misleading or factually incorrect studies. They compare every private sector employee, from fry-cooks on up, the the whole public sector. It's a crap comparison because there's a lot more low-wage, low-skill, low-education private sector jobs that just don't exist in nearly the same proportion government.
  22. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Sep 14, 2011 -> 03:00 PM) Bench him? Why use a roster spot on him? Tens of millions of reasons.
  23. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Sep 14, 2011 -> 02:35 PM) GM should get rid of players like that, better yet not even acquire them. managers should bench those players, not play them in the 4-hole.
