Nigel Farage, leader of the UKIP and one of the leading voices in favor of Leave, is resigning. http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2016/...ruining-uk.html It's nice of Farage and Johnson to push for this vote and then bail out shortly after it passes.

Comey: 110 classified emails sent on Clinton's server, staff/aides 'extremely careless', but no recommendation for criminal indictment. That was really the last thing that could have posed a legitimate threat to her campaign imo.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 3, 2016 -> 03:27 PM) It's fascinating that they're actually trying to run with the "sheriff badge" excuse even after people found the original source eta his press release, come on man we know where it came from, the guy who made it had plenty of explicitly antisemitic images, this isn't a "sherrif's star" They chose the dumbest possible way to respond to this and will never let go, which I guess is pretty routine for this campaign at this point. eta2 in case anyone had any question on what the original intent behind the star was, the same guy who originally made it also made this one: and another one with the same star on a "Bernie Sanders" ice cream. There's zero question what the original intent was. The more interesting questions here are how did Trump's campaign come across this in the first place, is there so little control/awareness in the campaign that nobody took a second look at the image, and why are they insisting on the dumbest possible response?

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 2, 2016 -> 05:03 PM) Lol wat I think we've now reached biggest reach of all of anti-Trump reaches. Weird how they quickly deleted it and replaced the star with a circle though. His /pol and alt right supporters are pretty openly anti semitic so it's not really a shock, probably just retweeted one of their things.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 1, 2016 -> 05:36 PM) Trouble for Hillary (I hope): Didn't want to put in Republican thread even though Caufield started it in there. ... She needs to just go away. And by saying that it doesn't mean I support Trump. I just don't want a so obvious wheeler and dealer, entitled person like Hillary in the White House. A meeting on a plane??? With the AG? Cmon Hillary supporters, explain this one. Oh I know ... it was nothing. They wanted to chat about their grandkids. Yeah in a public airport on a fricking plane. I'm sure that didn't inconvenience anybody as they chuckled about getting Hillary off scot free in the email case. Crooked politics!! https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/loretta-...-101500028.html That is actually the correct thread for whining about Hillary, not this one, as has been pointed out to you many times.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 1, 2016 -> 01:15 PM) I like the Mike Pence report. They actually haven't gone out of their way to offend the gay community in this campaign yet while offending basically everyone else who isn't a straight white male, so he'd perfectly fill the role of checking that off the list. Is pence even really liked in Indiana?

Don't worry, just a tiny minority of people are openly racist, and having the Republican presidential nominee saying garbage like this for months on end definitely has no effect. Gotta ban the hibbi jabbies!

Lots of reporting out there that newt Gingrich is being seriously considered for vp. Oh and the guy running the vetting process is the same guy who okay'd Palin

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 30, 2016 -> 04:49 PM) lol I would love to be a fly on the wall at RNC headquarters right now. eta: trump responds to insane rambling question asking him to fire all Muslims from the border patrol and TSA with "we are looking into that"

QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Jun 30, 2016 -> 04:34 PM) It had nothing to do with the cell phone data cross examination. Counsel was ruled ineffective because her voice was so annoying that every jury member blocked her out. I have no idea if that's true but I hope it is.

QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 29, 2016 -> 05:51 PM) True I'm sure there is some racism in any bias however over there its not just a group, its anyone who isn't German. Didn't matter the color of the German's skin, it was the fact that another national was taking their opportunities. It just had a very different feel from the racism here which is directed as much inward as it is outward. Do you consider the hate against Muslims racism? Fair enough. For the second question, it'd be bigotry or prejudice

QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 29, 2008 -> 04:12 PM) There is going to be an element of people telling the pollsters one thing and voting another way, guaranteed. Bradley effect. Check out his speech today, more rambling nonsense, focusing on whether he played golf in Scotland, again bragging that he has less than 100 people on staff. He's been reduced to bragging about a poll because it shows him down only 2 points. Trump supporters have tended to be loud and proud, and if anything, he typically under-performed primary polls.
