  1. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 27, 2013 -> 07:50 AM) Whomever thought that episode of The League was a good idea should be fired. I've been watching Season 4 on netflix. It feels like a huge drop off from season 3.
  2. Just finished re-watching season 4 of breaking bad last night. Those last four episodes are incredible.
  3. I'm not getting the love for Lost, though. Yeah, I stuck with it through the end, but it got silly early on and then bad later on. I can't see myself ever going back and watching it, and it sort of disappeared from the face of the earth after the finale.
  4. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 26, 2013 -> 12:01 PM) nah it's true. It's a good show but people calling it the greatest of all time and putting it next to the Wire and Sopranos are so far off. It's closer to something like Homeland. Over the top, unrealistic when you stop and think, and completely ridiculous at times but you'll still enjoy it if you turn your brain off for an hour a week. It is still great TV. I haven't finished all of The Wire but it's definitely better than the Sopranos.
  5. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 26, 2013 -> 11:39 AM) Breaking Bad is incredibly overrated by those caught up in the moment, but it's still pretty good. Definitely worth watching through it. This is false.
  6. A break-down of some of the visual rhetoric/techniques used in the first episode of Season 5, Part 2. http://www.avclub.com/articles/sometimes-i...r-pictu,103361/ If anyone's interested, this guy has some similar breakdowns for earlier episodes. I may have posted them already in this thread.
  7. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 24, 2013 -> 10:44 PM) Depends on which variant you have. You mean which carrier? I'm on Verizon.
  8. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 09:54 AM) I was going to say, do you have your windows open? I have a Ford with sync and it works pretty well 90% of the time. "Mom cell" definitely works well. Sometimes it gets similar names mixed up, but that's to be expected. The accuracy definitely drops if windows are open though. My major complaint with Sync, at least in my vehicle, is that the volume of the prompts and the volume of the calls do not match...at all. To hear someone clearly you have to turn the volume up, which means the Sync prompts are loud enough to hurt your ears. It's really annoying. We've noticed that sometimes, the GPS is whisper-quiet but other times it's SHOUTING IN YOUR FACE TURN LEFT
  9. QUOTE (Tex @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 02:57 PM) I wonder at which price point. I suspect that Tesla may have cut them a sweet deal. Given their current luxury rental rates ($300+/day for a mid-level Mercedes), I can't imagine it will be very cheap.
  10. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 08:00 AM) Ford's (and Microsoft's) Sync system has had problems since day 1, it has been a real issue for them. Its a shame because Ford has done a lot of nice work with their vehicles in the past 5-6 years or so, but thei reliability numbers aren't as good as they could be specifically because of Sync. I've had to pull the fuse to reset the Sync in my wife's Fusion twice in four months now. It just stops recognizing the USB port and her iPod. Frustrating.
  11. i checked xda but it looks like there's not a reliable method for rooting the HTC one right now?
  12. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 24, 2013 -> 09:32 AM) I have a 1A and it is just freaking the f*** out. It's actually an HTC brand charger too. Maybe my wall station at work is just too low. the phone specs list it as a 5V/1A charger, could be something wrong with the charger.
  13. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 24, 2013 -> 09:09 AM) Anyone with HTC One notice you can only charge your phone with their charger that came with the phone? Super annoying, I bought a generic usb charger for work, forgot to charge my phone last night and it's just freaking out. Works fine through USB and the other random charger I have (think it was an iPod charger?)
  14. If Denver's D and DMC get less than 17 points, I'll actually win this week even with forgetting to sub Rice out. Got demolished in my other league 48-138, though.
  15. Picked up an HTC one this weekend, liking it so far
  16. You're not supposed to pass anybody on the right.
  17. Pay the $450 and sell the 5 for a few hundred.
  18. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 18, 2013 -> 04:20 PM) Because other audio apps are working fine, such as Yamaha's? They need to build a new framework and use the new ios7 APIs. And it's not just Yahama's that works, as does Tracktor...so it's sounding to me like Audiobus waited too long and didn't make their deadlines. http://www.djtechtools.com/2013/09/18/ipad...pdate-to-ios-7/ They pretty much say there are always issues, but for the most part, in their studios, this software all seems to work on ios7 just fine. It looks like Traktor is also recommending waiting? So I don't know why you said it's working fine.
  19. here's some more information google turned up: http://evolver.fm/2013/09/18/audiobus-warn...ading-to-ios-7/ If these same problems didn't happen with ios4/5/6, why would you assume lazy developers are to blame and not a problem with ios7?
  20. AIM is free and doesn't require whatever sort of centralized bulls*** Lync requires, though.
  21. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 18, 2013 -> 11:18 AM) Nearly every movie set in actual locations does this to some extent. There are many scenes in Rudy where Rudy sees a building or a person at a building from another building on campus when such a sight line was impossible. The skyline from Fraiser's apartment is a composite, and the closest you can get in real life is a hill in a park or something like that.
