  1. Good point, Murcie. At some point in time whether it's next year or 2006, Santana would probably experience some form of "dead arm" period.
  2. I love the new rotation, but until this team can take down those puds in the Trash Bag, Minnesota gets the nod. Here's to 2005 proving me wrong.
  3. You mean he's not headed to Montreal this time?
  4. MLB.com's comments on Valido: And Perfect Game USA: He was also named to Florida's 6A All-State Baseball team, along with one Giovanny Gonzalez (isn't he also affiliated with the Sox? ).
  5. Robert Valido 4th Rd pick by the White Sox (112th overall) DOB: 5/16/85 Height: 6"1 Weight: 175 Birthplace: Miami, FL 2004 stats: Kannapolis Intimidators Games: 122 AB: 456 AVG: .252 Hits: 115 TB: 152 2B: 25 3B: 0 HR: 4 RBI: 43 BB: 35 SO: 59 SB: 28 GIDP: 3 OBP: .313 SLG: .333
  6. I haven't seen too many people bashing the ballpark......... "Why are you looking at me?"

    Wade Miller

What, no love for Pat Listach?
  8. On the 2pm Score update, they said Jenks is still rehabbing.
  9. Isnt' this the guy with the 100mph arm but major head issues?
  10. Boras is his agent. Not happening anytime soon.
  11. They also mentioned that home run hitters are becoming a dime a dozen, and teams rely on guys like Posednik, Ichiro, & Juan Pierre to get on base and make things happen. He also said he's still hopeful for the HOF.
  12. He also mentioned Posednik could steal 80-90 bases if he had 100 attempts, but also pointed out that because he plays CF, it's a more demanding position. He said he was able to steal 90 bases because he played in LF, which wasn't as strenuous as CF.
  13. He said over the last 8-10 yrs, players have been all about stats and that it affects the attitude of a clubhouse. He also praised Minnesota for doing all the little things (bunting, sacrificing) needed to win.
  14. He said he wants the Sox to be more of a speed team, like the NL teams from the '80s.
  15. Good luck in Milwaukee, El Caballo.
  16. Yes and no. 2 of the big names are gone and Frank's not back until midseason. But the nucleus of the Sox rotation and 25 man roster save for ELo are still here. When Starks came aboard, wasn't it during the glorious age of Brent Barry & Kornel David? Hardly any remnants of the old Bulls-Knicks battles remained when Starks played for the Bulls. Either way, if KW can swing a deal for Pierzynski, he should go for it.
  17. Yeah, but that Bulls team was totally gutted from the glory days when that asswipe joined them. No way would Jordan, Pippen Phil Jackson, or even Rodman would've approved of that if they were still on the team.
  18. I'm gonna call him #(*%#^!* if he hits .244 again.
  19. IIRC, Kevin Tapani did the switch from the Sox to the Cubs.
  20. Pierzynski's a prick, but by no means would he be considered the least liked player from that team. That title belongs to this tool:
