  1. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 27, 2014 -> 09:47 AM) I just finished pilates and wow, thats a different type of core workout. The thing I like about X3 so far is the focus on muscle groups that I didnt usually hit before. Lots of hip flexibility and joint strengthening. Something I believe I need for injury prevention. I would recommend some of those for the muscle groups you may be ignoring. For me, back weakness at times could be general core and ab weakness being compensated by the back. Rock, did you ever try X2? From what you are saying about X3, I think you might have really enjoyed X2.
  2. QUOTE (flavum @ Feb 27, 2014 -> 11:08 AM) whitesox.com games tomorrow and Saturday, and Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday next week...and the following Tuesday. And that's it for Melton. Tomorrow's game will also be on MLB Network on a 2-hour delay...possibly with the overrated Vin Scully on the call. (what did he say?) Absolute blasphemy
  3. Thanks for the tips guys...I will look into all this stuff...and now I want some POG juice.
  4. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Feb 25, 2014 -> 01:25 PM) Was at the one in Cabo, really nice. If you are looking to go that route, this place is even better http://www.nizuc.com/ and I like Riveria Maya better than Cabo. The Garden Pool Villas are fantastic for a honeymoon. Fun sox related stuff we did at our wedding: Pictures on the field and in the dugout, had a jersey for everyone to sign instead of a guest book (was a great idea except for my idiot friend who wrote "go cubs" on it; and had Ozzie give a message to congratulate us. That was the coolest part. He said a message in Spanish telling my wife that she was making a huge mistake and to run away. Then he gave us a nice blessing in English. We played it up really well as like an awards show and my buddies presented the "Best greeting from a person who couldn't attend the wedding" category. And we had a bunch of people on there who couldn't come. It was pretty funny. Doc! Good to hear from you again! I remember seeing the Ozzie video...that was some funny s***! Ultimately we decided on Maui...sister in law works for Hyatt so we got a really good rate, and neither of us have ever been to Hawaii. Should be a lot of fun!
  5. Just ordered the groomsmen all authentic white sox jerseys...got a halfway to St Patty's day Sale jersey, two home Sale jerseys, and a road Abreu jersey. I can't believe I just ordered 4 authentic Sox jerseys and not one for myself!
  6. QUOTE (Knuckles @ Feb 24, 2014 -> 08:26 AM) I used to follow F1 pretty religiously. My favorite driver is Robert Kubica however he is out of F1 these days because of the accident he suffered in Montreal years ago. Also the adult lifestyle makes it hard to keep up with races due to time difference. But I check results occasinally. Interesting. Why did you start following? Do you love cars, or love racing, or did you like it because of a family member?
  7. Thanks for adding that, SS....you know, I wouldn't have asked if I didn't want feedback, but Jesus, no need to be rude, people.
  8. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 23, 2014 -> 02:46 PM) No one knows the people at your wedding better than you. If you think that is something theyd find amusing and not a waste of time, go for it. Im not sure about the gorilla mask, but maybe there is some sort of inside joke that I dont get. That is a play on the song...first line. But regardless, I think whatever we choose to do, writing it out in an explanation makes it seem even more stupid than it will be acting it out. Thanks for the comments though, everyone...I value your opinions.
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 23, 2014 -> 01:14 PM) Sorry bro! The thing about weddings is that a good portion of people there will be talking s*** about it. Whether is location, colors, food, booze, music. Someone will think something you did was stupid. My wife and I weren't crazy about spending our money on much but food booze and transportation. I'm sure people were taking s*** about our homemade centerpieces. Fact is, it's my wedding so I don't care. As long as your family and the wedding party have fun, the rest is bulls***. No, you're right...our thinking is this is Las Vegas, we have a bunch of friends & family coming out, everyone wants to have fun here...it's not a typical wedding in a typical suburb, and it's also not a typical wedding at a casino venue or whatever. It's a wedding on our property, and it's going to be fairly intimate, and we just didn't want to take ourselves too seriously. The ceremony and the cocktail hour are all going to be pretty serious and classy, so we wanted to throw a curveball in there afterwards to get everyone in the right mood other than your typical "and give a warm welcome to Mr and Mrs. Blah blah blah! But to each their own...

  11. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 23, 2014 -> 10:39 AM) It's your wedding so do what makes you happy. However no we didn't, thank god. Now that's not very nice! I rescind your invitation
  12. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 22, 2014 -> 09:49 PM) Though everyone will likely laugh, they'll likely be doing it to fit in, all the while thinking "what the f***?" Try to create memories in a different way. I wouldn't want that to be the lasting image from my wedding. Seriously, what is the lasting image you have of anyone else's wedding? The fiancée and her bridesmaids wanted to come up with something goofy to do since this is at our house...perhaps it is a bit over the top...back to the drawing board
  13. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 22, 2014 -> 03:45 PM) No offense, but if I was ever at a wedding that did something like that, I'd get my gift back and leave. Choreographed dance numbers, I'll put up with. Rehearsed speeches can be good. This maybe too far. But I don't like weddings, so my opinion means ??? Well this is why I'm posting it, of course. To see people's reactions. Why would you get your gift back and leave? P.S. - I don't like weddings either.
  14. So for our grand entrance, I am planning a bit of a skit...we want it to be humorous and provide some memories and a reason to watch the video... We're going to walk in to "Is she really going out with him?" By Joe Jackson. I will be wearing a gorilla mask and holding a banana...at some point after the chorus plays, "Code Name Vivaldi" by the Piano Guys (this is basically the Bourne Identity theme) will come on...we will look very confused...suddenly three ninjas will come running out to attack me and come beat my ass while I try to defend my bride...just before they an get to her, the bridal party will race out to beat down the ninjas...I will then get up, remove the gorilla mask all proud of myself for saving my bride (even though my wedding party did all the heavy lifting) as the chorus of Aloe Blacc's "the Man" blares. My wife will then elbow me in the gut to humble me and Capital Cities' "Safe and Sound" will play while we make it back to the head table. Anyone else do anything incredibly stupid like this at their wedding?
  15. What is Priceline worth? That's the one that really gets me...
  16. Yeah Pettie, just because you're black, you don't get to be racist.
  17. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 17, 2014 -> 04:44 PM) I think it went great. It was the 2nd interview for this company and I met with a whole bunch of people today. I should know more within the next few days. Wonderful. Keep us posted!
  18. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 17, 2014 -> 03:49 PM) I took the day off from my current job to interview for another today. Thankfully I did, got in and out early enough to beat most of this crap. f*** this weather. How did the interview go?
  19. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 15, 2014 -> 07:25 PM) Look at this asshole, golfing in February. Indeed.
  20. Ecco actually makes some badass golf shoes. Bought some of the Nike Tiger Woods pants and I must say these are like the most incredibly comfortable pants on the face of the earth. A bit pricy at $125 but oh my were they awesome. I've always just worn khaki type shorts or pants to golf, but decided to update the golf wardrobe a bit recently and these were worth every penny. They are 95% polyester so they stretch when you're bending over or kneeling to read a putt, and they breathe really well. Highly recommended.
  21. The texts about Vegas are the most illustrative to me. Incognito is just insulting him in a 1-on-1 situation and Martin is like "Yeah, I miss being demeaned by all of you." I mean come on dude...you think that is going to make these guys respect you? Additionally, the texts to his parents. He clearly has some emotional issues that make it almost impossible to function in this environment unless he's got some teammates or coaches really looking out for him.
  22. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 13, 2014 -> 04:24 PM) Man, what the hell has happened to Paul George? In Nov/Dec he was a roided up Scottie. Now lately he's broker than the time I missed 13 layups in a row playing against two 6th graders. That happened three times just last week, by my count...and they were girls!
  23. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 13, 2014 -> 08:17 AM) http://www.yourfitnesspath.com/p90x3-calendar Ok, so that 4th week is what I am referring to as the "transition week."
  24. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 13, 2014 -> 08:11 AM) Yeah I think. I printed out a calendar I found online. This is my 3rd week of 3 (with a break there) and today is the challenge, then CVX, Warrior and Dyna Hmmm...I think maybe our calendars are different. The one I am doing has me doing Phase 1 for 2-4 weeks, then a "transition week," then on to Phase 2, etc.
  25. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 13, 2014 -> 07:41 AM) My calendar says 4 weeks for BLOCK 1 (they changed the terms), 4 for 2 and 5 for 3. 13 weeks total. Which program are you doing, Rock? Classic?
