It hasn't been all series. This has been a case of Rose having LeBron in his head since game 2. And LeBron is referring to him as "the MVP" now, rather than by name. That should piss him off.

The talent had manifested itself in actual production before, just not consistently. Regardless, I still think he's close...I'm not ready to call this a failure yet.
