Lineup Once Yoan Returns
My comment has more to do with the weather warming up next week and less to do with Moncada

Lineup Once Yoan Returns
This lineup is going to explode upon Yoan’s return

5/2-Angels vs Sox 1:10 Central Start, Series Finale
Dominant pitching performance against a very good offense. Huge win. Now go sweep the Scrubs and let’s get this thing going

5/2-Angels vs Sox 1:10 Central Start, Series Finale
Nah. There’s still 140 games to go. The offense will wake up soon.

Potentially four aces. I don’t see a better starting rotation in MLB.

Once this offense gets going, this is going to be a tough team to beat. This starting rotation is nasty,

That's a White Sox Winner
Dare I say Velasquez was a better signing than Stroman? ?
-
4/30- White Sox vs Angels, 3:05, CSN/FS1, ESPNR
So if Velazquez is actually good now, do the Sox suddenly have TOO MUCH starting pitching? ?

Old Sock Drawer, ex Sox player discussion
He’s #4 in pitches per game in MLB in 2022. This idea that the Giants are somehow going to take much better care of him and not “abuse” him like the Sox did in 2021 is dumb.

And Robert…

Wrong but maybe I wasn’t clear. If the Sox are causing you stress or effecting your mood and no longer enjoyable (it’s clear that’s the case for many here), then I absolutely believe you should emotionally detach and find a better use of your time preferably doing something else that does bring entertainment or joy to your life. It’s what I’ve done with the Hawks the last few years. If that makes me a “bad” fan then so be it but I’d rather be a bad fan than a “good” fan that spends time doing something I’m not enjoying. And perhaps some folks enjoy constantly thinking and writing negatively about the team that they’re a fan of but that doesn’t make much sense to me. Never will.

I think many individuals could benefit from emotionally detaching from the team if it becomes so emotional that it is causing stress or is upsetting their daily life (e.g., effecting their mood). This isn’t just Sox fans, any sports fan.

I’m not saying this is you but if it causes you a lot of stress and/or irritation to be a fan (like I’ve seen what it does to many on here), it’s probably an unhealthy relationship. That goes with anything in life. Just my opinion of course.

I think a lot of fans on this site could benefit from some time apart yes lol

I’m still a Blackhawks fan but chose to divest my attention elsewhere over the last few years. Really wasn’t that hard. There are many entertainment options these days so if something is irritating or upsetting me it’s not hard for me to choose a different option.

The thing I don’t understand about a lot of Sox fans is that if they are that disgusted with the organization, why invest time watching or commenting? Truly. That’s what I did with the Blackhawks the last few years. There’s better ways to spend my time and energy. If you don’t think they’re committed to winning and their method of roster construction causes you grief, then don’t bother with the product. Not that hard.

Sox @ Twins
This isn’t about fWAR. It’s about the guy’s ability to stay on the field. I’ve already said he’s great when he plays but he’s ALWAYS hurt and cannot be counted on. Do you ever complain about Luis Robert’s injury history? Cali did. Yet, Robert has been healthier than Buxton over the last few years AND has a higher fWAR per game played over his career. And you don’t think Buxton would be a source of constant frustration for Sox fans? Gimme a break.

Sox @ Twins
So you want another injury prone player on this team? Really? What is it with you and your longing for injury prone players? Eloy must be your favorite player on the Sox. And I agree Eloy is always hurt as you mentioned. Funny thing is he’s played in more games than Buxton since joining the big league club in 2019. That just goes to show how injury prone Buxton truly is. Think Eloy but even worse.

What The Actual F# Is Wrong With This Team?
I’m not judging the division rivals solely on 15 games. I’m judging it on their records from last season and the improvements they made in the offseason. None of them look better than 80-85 wins.
-
Sox @ Twins
Meh. Sox will win this division over the Twins. I’m not worried about the Twins.
-
Sox @ Twins
Nah, they’ll win it in spite of him

Sox @ Twins
That’s why I mentioned injuries as the caveat. Giolito, Lynn, Kopech, Cease, Cueto/Keuchel/whoever is considerably better than the twins rotation last season.
-
Sox @ Twins
But look at this starting rotation and compare it to the Sox this year. Unless the Sox rotation continues to suffer significant injuries, the two aren’t comparable. https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/MIN/2021.shtml

Poster stated: There is no one on CWS remotely as good as Buxton this is completely wrong. Luis “might not” be as good as Buxton today but if he isn’t he’s not far off.
