  1. I haven’t written him off but I do hate that big leg kick. I don’t see that working against higher level pitching. Too much movement, needs to simplify things.
  2. His D is as good as advertised. He’ll maintain a positive WAR if he even hits just .225 with no power.
  3. Sosa just isn’t a major league hitter
  4. In a lineup otherwise full of bums, Fletcher at least looks like a professional hitter.
  5. Agreed. The only thing I would say though is that it was very difficult to find any quality bats this past offseason with the budget he was working with. Not sure what he could have done.
  6. Have to give credit where credit is due, Fedde looks legit. 2/$15M is a bargain for him.
  7. Boy, Zavala is really struggling. Down to .196 BA, .586 OPS. I hate his huge leg kick. Hope he gets rid of that. Thankfully, the pitching Getz got in the Cease return has been lights out.
  8. He’s actually been solid.799 OPS. If the rest of the lineup was doing anything close to that this team would be decent.
  9. Wilson has been incredible. He’s going to fetch a very nice prospect in a few months if he keeps this up.
  10. True. I’m excited to see what the 3 headed monster of Leasure, Wilson, Kopech can do with a close late lead.
  11. So once Clevinger joins the team, the starting rotation will look something like this? (1) Crochet (2) Clevinger (3) Fedde (4) Nastrini (5) Cannon Dare I say that’s bordering on a respectable rotation?
  12. Playoffs are a crap shoot. All you can ask is that they put themselves in a position to make it and do damage. They did that for two seasons.
  13. And despite all that they were still a pennant contender for two seasons (a rare occurrence for this organization). Unfortunately, the peak was much shorter than expected but they had a legitimately strong roster for two seasons.
  14. They’re actually in a decent position all things considered. It’s going to take a few years though. Should have a top 5 farm system for the next several years and have a clean slate from a payroll perspective at the MLB level outside of Beni’s contract. As always, it’ll come down to drafting and development unless Jerry is suddenly willing to break the bank in free agency.
  15. 3rd seems high. Probably around 10-15 right now with the potential for top 3 as soon as this August following another round of TDL deals and amateur draft.
  16. I agree with that. I think that’s what Hahn was attempting to do last TDL when he acquired Nastrini, Bush, and Eder. If you get one quality starting pitcher and one quality reliever out of that group it’s a great outcome tbh.
  17. Jake has a 0 fWAR and -0.1 bWAR. The most likely outcome of this trade is that neither Burger nor Eder are players of any real consequence. Burger is a DFA candidate in a few years and Eder will be lucky to be a lefty MLB reliever.
  18. On the bright side, the back end of the bullpen with Leasure, Wilson, and Kopech has been excellent this season. Too bad they rarely have a lead to protect.
  19. Leasure is a beast. That dodgers trade might be the best Sox trade since the Eaton trade.
  20. Pitched well against a decent offense
  21. I’ll repeat once again, how the f*** did we get Leasure and Nasty Nick for Lynn and Kelly lol
  22. Jesus nasty Nick is dealing
