  1. I have never met him, but I have heard nothing but bad, bad things about him. I have hardly heard anything ever bad about Kemp. That fight that happened the other day is sad to be a minor one, and that him and Young have settled whatever their dispute is. Kemp just is very firey, IMO. Dukes is almost like a Ricky Williams or Maurice Clarret if you ask me.
  2. What was his injury again? If he can consistently pitch around 93-95 at least and being able to hit 97 once in a while, and have at least decent breaking stuff, I'd gladly take him. He should be able to succeed if he hits his spots, and he will add a veteran presence to the bullpen.
  3. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ May 22, 2007 -> 09:53 PM) I don't remember Sisco consistently throwing that hard. 96 was more normal, a few 97's. I remember when we first saw him he really brought it.
  4. Didn't he throw 97-98 back in 05? Whatever happened to that?
  5. Sisco will likely be sent down any day now, in fact, it wouldn't surprise me if it happened tonight.
  6. If I was a Ranger's fan, I think I'd be contemplating suicide...
  7. He's got that ERA down to 3.78, and it seems safe to say that he will improve his record to 3-4.
  8. Just go through the lists of news concerning bad activities for each player. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...MLB&id=1251 http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...MLB&id=4123 Besides for this incident with Young, which doesn't seem to be serious at all, and the one last year, he has been pretty much clean. But Dukes has been involved with plenty of fights, and drug charges. QUOTE(fathom @ May 22, 2007 -> 08:57 PM) As friends with someone that was around Dukes for 2 years, he's got a worse attitude than people give him credit for. So, did you ever meet Dukes, or did your firend just know him?
  9. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 22, 2007 -> 08:14 PM) Considering you have never actually met either of the guys thats a pretty dumb statement No, I'd never want to meet Dukes. He picks fights with his own family most likely.
  10. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ May 22, 2007 -> 04:01 AM) Well, Kemp got in a fight with his own teammate and was a large reason why the Barons were pulled from the field, and you don't think he's scary? Now, I am not saying Kemp is a nice guy or anything, but if I was getting seated somewhere and the only two spots were open were by Kemps and Dukes, I'd choice to sit next to Kemp. Also, Kemp doesn't have any drug history like Dukes, right?
  11. This thread is nothing but speculation
  12. I think if we wanted to fire someone for the bullpen it would be Art Kusyner Good overall game also. Paulie finally making his comeback. I expect him to go absolutely nuts the next few weeks. Anyone else think Terrero's stance looks awfully a lot like Mags?
  13. That's why I don't care anymore, and don't even read his stuff. Hawk should do the same.
  14. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 21, 2007 -> 07:35 AM) He's turning into the 2nd coming of Elijah Dukes, which is a shame because he has a LOT of talent. That's a little darastic, don't you think? Dukes is a scary ass man. I'd be afraid just ot ask him for an autograph. He'd probably pull a knife out.
  15. very interesting. I don't think it will be a move to effect the 25 man though.
  16. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 20, 2007 -> 09:18 PM) Matt Kemp continues his douchery I'd still wouldn't mind having him
  17. now the Yankees are trying to cut down on the salary?
  18. Scott Thorman has been tearing the cover off the ball as well. Big factor for Wilson's release.
  19. QUOTE(kapkomet @ May 20, 2007 -> 09:40 PM) It might be wisest to trade him last winter, while you could still get something for him. Oh wait a minute... Nevermind. oh, so true.
  20. It might be wisest to let him recover for 15 days and call up Fields.
  21. QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ May 20, 2007 -> 08:18 PM) The only problem with that is then we wouldn't have a competent backup CFer. true, but then again, Owens > Mack in CF, and Erstad doesn't even get days off to begin with.
  22. QUOTE(3E8 @ May 20, 2007 -> 06:40 PM) Two more walks for Fields today. OBP up to .372 with a BA around .250. Is he learning plate discipline, or is this just a side-effect of Andy Gonzalez hitting cleanup? I hope it's the former, but it could be because of the later.
  23. Yeah, I don't want Griffey anymore. For a while there, I was thinking it was 1998.
  24. Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing Terrero getting sent down and Owens getting called up to play LF everyday. He has a good OBP, BB, and SB numbers. Like to see that average higher though. Plus, you never know. He could be our leadoff guy for a couple years.
