I think I am going to be sick... If my TV didn't cast a couple grand, I'd be out a tv right now. This was by far the worst game of all season. After the 6th inning, there was no execution. None by the offense, defense, pitching, or coaching staff. Such a shame a good outing by Buehrle has to go down the drain like that.

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 18, 2007 -> 01:12 PM) I hope my next daily sig update has the 141 turn into 155. Batting Average: .222 (30th) Runs: 141 (28th) Hits: 270 (30th) Updated 05/18/07 at 08:54am And we aren't the worst team in baseball with those numbers, and even above .500.... Impressive.

Kenny: "Hall would not only get at bats from AJ..."

Didn't Tony G have to play catcher for us a couple years ago? I miss Tony G. -
I am going to watch the game in HD on WGN. With Directtv, I don't get Comcast HD with my current receiver. And IMO, the picture and quality you watch the game is much better then which homers are talking.

No, we will not carry three catchers. If PK and Dye start hitting, we would be able to have the pitcher bat. Also, Pierzynski is one of the most durable catchers in the game, and the odds of him going down are slim. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 18, 2007 -> 01:03 PM) Hall goes behind the plate and someone off the bench becomes the DH. Yeah, that doesn't happen. If a DH goes into the field, the DH will be elimated, and the pitcher would bat in the place of whoever the DH took over for. In fact, the Yankees did this quite a few times last year. -
How that happen? Wild pitch or did he just foul one off? Or was he fielding and missed the ball?

This series is like playing a game with your older brother who likes to tease you. The result of the game will likely have no effect on your life, but you don't want your brother to win and brag and gloat about him beating you. Just like we don't want cub fans bragging and gloating about beating us. It just isn't right. This is the only way to shut them up.

I'm not a big fan of the list. To me, it seems like you guys rushed it to get it out ASAP...

QUOTE(SoxAce @ May 17, 2007 -> 10:12 PM) What the f***?! I ask myself the same question. I used to like him to. But him going to the Tigs make me hate him with a burning passion.

QUOTE(Brian @ May 18, 2007 -> 12:36 PM) Hall could give us great production outof the 9 hole if he can hit like he has. Just get some guys on in front of him. 8 hole... and it will be tough for him since he does have the pitcher batting right behind him.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 18, 2007 -> 12:37 PM) What ever happened to ignoring the annoying assclowns in the media? Too much contreversy this time...

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 18, 2007 -> 12:34 PM) Erstad, CF Ozuna, LF Dye, RF Konerko, 1B Iguchi, 2B Crede, 3B Uribe, SS Hall, C Buehrle, SP Okay, thanks. I came close, just swap Iguchi and Hall and I nailed it.

I noticed there has yet to be a game thread for todays game, and shocked. Letsgoarow is MIA, and we are about an hour away from game time... Lets go Sox! I don't know what the lineup will be like, but I am guessing it will be something like: Erstad, CF Ozuna, LF Dye, RF Konerko, 1B Hall, C Crede, 3B Uribe, SS Iguchi, 2B Buehrle, P

Carter has been off the charts lately. Him and that Schurn guy need to get bumped up to the weak hitting Birmingham Barons...

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 18, 2007 -> 12:17 PM) A licence to be on the radio? HA! Idiotic? Yes. But none-the-less, this guy should be put in a rocket and shot up the moon for the rest of eternity.
-
this rivalry isn't about the teams. It's about the fans. Cub fans like to talk sh*t about the Sox, and I'll admit, I talk back sometimes. The fans make this rivalry what it is, not the actual teams.
-
Mike North shouldn't even have a license to be on the radio for the first part. Second off, if AJ was having a problem with not playing, he should have taken it up with Ozzie. I know AJ wants to play every day, but he's in no place to be talking to a low-life radio host like North about it on the air. Also, I really think the torn Labrum was something Toby already had. I in fact knew some people who had torn labrums, but were still able to play. I think in the ST, he aggravated it by that dive. I think he will be fine for the rest of the year. And it's not like AJ has a canon behind the plate either.

Just compare the 2000 and 2001 M's... no real major differences except the addition of Ichiro and Loss of ARod. There were a bit more differences between the 03 and 04 Rangers, but none big enough where they were a much better team overall. I wonder why.. I am also done with this. Good night.
-
QUOTE(YASNY @ May 18, 2007 -> 12:16 AM) Yeah ... It's ARod's fault that Hicks was stupid enough to throw the bank vault at him. That makes him a loser. From the years 94-00, the M's were a mediocre team. Had a few playoff seasons, nothing special. Then, all of a sudden, the year ARod leaves, they win 116 games! From the years 01-03, the Rangers were the basement dwellers of the West. Then all of a sudden when he leaves, they win 89 games. Coincidences, I think not.
-
When you sign a player to such a ridiculous price as ARod was, that means you are signing him to be your cornerstone, and take you to the promise land... that has yet to happen, and I don't see it happening any time soon. Also, his great postseason performances aren't helping.
-
QUOTE(YASNY @ May 18, 2007 -> 12:02 AM) To put things in perspective, I wouldn't ever call Ernie Banks a loser. Ernie Banks wasn't making 26 million a year, and being labeled as the best hitter of his generation.
-
QUOTE(YASNY @ May 17, 2007 -> 11:57 PM) Sorry man. I totally disagree. ARod will go down as one of the greatest players in the history of the game. He will... but the question is, how many rings will he have?
-
ARod has always been better then Crede... but I'd never want ARod on my team. IMO, he is a loser. Just look at teams records once he leaves that team.
-
Yeah, I am pretty sure the Sox have owned the Cubs... Also, I really don't like Sean Casey. He seems like an a-hole to me. He's probably nice, but I don't like him. Probably because he's on the tigs now.

damn.
