  1. Just when I think things can't get worse, we lose this game, when we should have scored at least one run, and out leadoff guy goes down with an injury.
  2. Mark pitches a gem, gives up 1 hit and 1 run and we can't score one run for him.
  3. Hawk went down to the clubhouse during a game earlier this year, when Thome re-injured his ribcage muscle. I'm pretty sure.
  4. I bet they call up Owens. Who else would bat leadoff?
  5. I actually like Erstad, I thought he was doing a good job in center and leading off. I never like to see any player get hurt. Hopefully it isn't too bad of an injury!!
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 31, 2007 -> 07:29 PM) MAJOR MAJOR props on that one man, great call. Thanks Bro.
  7. Hawk must be checking on Erstad. DJ by himself

  16. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ May 30, 2007 -> 09:38 PM) baseball that would you personally would like to see stay with the organization through the end of 2008 (and beyond)? Let's just call them "building blocks" for the future, although I know a few will blink once or twice at Thome and Konerko's names. I'll try to average out the results over time to get a clearer picture of where everyone stands as a composite. 1. Buehrle 2. Konerko 3. Danks 4. Garland 5. Thome (we have to maintain some left-handed pop, plus his OBP is so strong) 6. Jenks 7. Gio Gonzalez 8. Sweeney 9. Fields 10. Tie-Thornton/Russell 1. Buerhle (he is important, he could really help Danks develope) 2. Danks 3. Garland 4. Jenks 5. Thortnton 6. Thome 7. AJ 8. Fields 9. Konerko Those are the only players I would really like to keep. I think Danks would really benefit with Buerhle here and I also think with Garland we would still have 3 solid starters. I think we need to go outside of the Orginization to fill, LF,CF,RF,2nd,SS. I'm not sold on Sweeney or Anderson or Owens or anyone in our farm system besides Fields. We need to have a strong draft next week to get some prospects into our orginization.
  17. I really don't know who to blame, I guess the blame should go to the players as well as the coaches, managers, and the general manager. Ultimately it's the players who have to go out and perform, and Garland was staked to a 6-1 lead and he couldn't hold it. He walked way to many people and that is unacceptable. The offense looked good for 3 innings, but to be shutdown for the rest of the game is emabarassing. Thorton looked good, as did Boone. As for McaDougal, he didn't throw the ball that bad, the defense let him down, Konerko, Cintron and Crede, 2 force plays that should have been made. As for Aardsma, he was hot and cold when he was with the Cubs. But you have to throw strikes and make the guy earn his way on base. For Ozzie to bring him in instead of Jenks is inexcusable. He doesn't know how to manage a bullpen at all. The guys down there are struggling, he should put them in situations where they have the opportunity to suceed. He didn't do that with Aardsma. Jenks should have been brought in. Cooper should share the blame also, because he is the pitching coach, and lately are starters have been struggling and the bullpen has been absolutely horrible. he is the pitching coach and should share part of the blame. Greg Walker, well I think a change is necessary. He can take his "PERFECT STORM" and shove it up his ass. This team is way too inconsistent offensively. Sure we scored 6 runs in the first 3 innings, but after that, nothing. Sure Minnesota has a good bullpen, but come on, not even a hit. It's time for a shakeup, and Walker should be shown the door. This team isn't in a funk or slump. It has a terrible approach to hitting. KW should also be held accountable. He put this team together, he counted on Pods, when he shouldn't have, cause the guy can't stay healthy. He didn't upgrade our SS when he should have. Uribe will never be a good hitter. He has probably the worst approach at the plate. We should have tried to upgrade that postion last offseason. Our bench is weak, Cintron was coming off surgery, Mack is a good role player, but not everyday, Ozuna is a spark plug, but he was playing too much. KW just built this team with alot of question marks this year. He didn't address our weaknesses because he was to worried about how the market was out of whack. He thought he put together a great bullpen cause everyone can bring the heat, but what good does that do when you can't thrown the f***ing ball over the plate!! He just left this team with too many holes, while worrying about the MARKET. The last time I checked we drew almost 3 million fans last year!!
  18. I sure am glad we saved Bobby for who knows what!!
