QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Oct 25, 2007 -> 09:37 AM) Antonio Carlos Jobim - "One Note Samba" This is just a little samba, built upon one note. Other notes are bound to follow, but the root is still that note New topic: notes From George Strait aka The Man of Country Music And emmylou got caught passing me a note Before the teacher took it, I read what she wrote. Do you love me, do you wanna be my friend? And if you do, well then dont be afraid to take me by the hand If you want to. I think this is how love goes, check yes or no. Next Topic: Shoes
  2. QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 25, 2007 -> 09:47 AM) I'm going to change my registration to Republican just so I can vote for Paul in the primary. You'll be more comfortable over there.
  3. I hope so. If the GOP doesn't pick McCain, I pray one of the dark horses emerges. The front runners are leaving me a bit cold. I have the same reaction to Rudy that Kap does to Edwards.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 25, 2007 -> 09:42 AM) If the concern is E-bills, go in and change your email address in your account. It is really simple. The same was true of snail mail, yet we found value in forwarding. Snail mail forwarding is much more costly than email forwarding. Why shouldn't our emails be considered on the same level with our telephone number and snail mail address? I believe, for most of us, our email is more important than at least one of the other two.
  5. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Oct 25, 2007 -> 09:26 AM) Well, despite the fact that he doesn't have too many classic roles under his belt, he's still a legendary actor IMO. I could say the same for Jon Voight as well. Jon Voight may well be the most under rated actor of our generation.
  6. I am still trying to understand how Rudy G is doing so well.
  7. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Oct 25, 2007 -> 12:24 AM) Same dude. I always think that it starts with a K for some reason. IU would not place him in the same class as the others. He's a notch below IMHO.
  8. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 11:49 PM) That is not a class I look forward to taking I have Stats for Psychology Majors and the damn class is only offered during the day, and with the damn lab, it is impossible for me to take. Of course it is required for my major

  10. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 10:01 PM) This isn't all that uncommon, actually. Plenty of people have slept on the two greatest movies of all time. What I'm really trying to say: Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Robert Deniro, James Kaan, Robert Duvall, etc. Those guys can't act for sh*t. Why even bother tuning in? I'll bet that y'all are thoroughly familiar with "Home Alone", though. Is this like Sesame Street, which one doesn't belong? I'll take James Kaan
  11. QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 11:26 PM) Only because you and the girls were talking about all the cute guys in the garage. Other than that, not gay. Actually it was more like, can you believe those guys? Keg stands?! Who's going to want to make out with some drunk guy?

I'm thinking of donating $25 per month and hopefully rolling it over as people repay. But honestly, I'm thinking of it as a donation, repayment would be a nice bonus. I also decided, for obvious reasons to work with someone about a two hour drive and a border crossing. Maybe I can break his legs if he doesn't pay back what will amount to a nice dinner for one less wine and gratuity.

I made a loan to David Vega Galindo. I'm starting with their smallest loan of $25, plus the $2.50 gimme that kiva asks for.

  15. QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 11:08 PM) Okay Tex, I'll give the candidates props when due. Edwards has a great hair cut. You can see that through the partisan eyes? Time after time they examine a politicians returns and they are misers. Here's one that actually gives at far better than American averages, and we still rip him. I wish he was well behind all the other millionaire politicians out there, but he isn't. I can respect that. I'm still not voting for him, but I wish more politicians felt the heat to give at his level.

    QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 01:35 PM) I 10000000% agree. More conservative spending math at work
  17. Is poverty the only area we should examine? Thompson wants to build a wall to stop illegals, how much of his money is he going to donate? How much has Bush donated for embryonic stem cell research? I'm not an Edwards supporter but the guy can "prove" his charitable position much better than most (all?) of the candidates. So the GOP supporters can parse their insults anyway they like (well Edwards started it ) but I think he's putting his pocketbook where his mouth is. Take a guy to task for the real stuff and give the candidates their props when they are due.
  18. Wow, all the republicans here are in favor of handouts to fight poverty.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 09:53 PM) Brownsville Station Sittin' in a classroom thinking it's a drag Listen to the teacher rap just ain't my bag Topic: Stardom LOL. Anyone remember back in the late 60s maybe early 70s a DJ in Chicago that would record a fake newscast and include answers in song? Kind of like this Where were you when this happened? Cue music "smoking in the boy's room" . . . Dionne Warwick In a week, maybe two, they'll make you a star Weeks turn into years. How quck they pass And all the stars that never were Are parking cars and pumping gas Days of the week
  20. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 07:30 PM) Gotta go with this one. Take it back. Seinfeld will go down alongside with the true greats. If we are talking the show, I agree. If we are just considering his standup, that's a crowded field and I'm not certain he'd be in my top 25.
  21. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 07:29 PM) Well, I've never been to Spain, but I kinda like the music. Oh wait, wrong thread. Damn you for getting to that first. I've never hit/spanked/etc. mine, or anybodies, kids. I won't even start with all the movies and TV shows I have not watched, and they are the classic "guy" ones. Sopranos, Godfather, Godfather II, Godfather III, Son of Godfather, Godfather Returns, and God knows which others. Ditto with Scarface, Terminator, etc. I never understood why it was "gay" for me to hang out with the girls in the kitchen at parties instead of with the guys in the garage. Duh. I never developed any artistic talent beyond finger painting.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 04:41 PM) The Who I don't care about pollution, I'm an air-conditioned gypsy That's my solution, watch the police and the taxman miss me, I'm Mobile. . . . Oooooh, yeah, heeee!! Next: Cheatin' Shania Twain Whose bed have your boots been under? And whose heart did you steal I wonder? This time did it feel like thunder, baby? School

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 04:13 PM) This is a waste of bandwidth and time. 90% of Internet email is spam/malware anyways. So do you really want to setup large amounts of traffic being generated, sometimes in duplicate. Take the 5 minutes, and send an email to your contacts telling them of the new email. Hell, give them a reminder a few days before the switch. Then move on. Anyone using an AOL or freeware email to run their business is asking for trouble. Purchase a domain, use it for your business, and set the email up that way. You can move it as you want. You control it, not the ISP. Most of the load the US Post office carries are bulk mailers, should snail mail be forwarded? With more and more people opting for electronic billing, important documents are not being forwarded. Just like snail mail forwarding was a good idea for our parents, email forwarding will be the standard for this generation.
  24. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 08:37 PM) Also, G.W. Bush is a huge liability for the GOP. After a flop of a presidency, like Jimmy Carter or GW Bush, the opposition party always gets much stronger. The BFD is ending. A strong 8 years and Jeb would have had a chance.
