Official Re-sign Paul Konerko Thread
I'm not hung up on a 7 year deal if it is structured properly. Buy outs involved, dollars are right, etc. The obvious example $65/5 or $65/7 which one would you take?

Official Re-sign Paul Konerko Thread
I'd have to see the money before making a decision on 6 or 7 years. If there is some consideration for age. $65/5 $72/6 $75/7 then maybe 7 doesn't look that bad in the AL where he could be DHing. but 5 @ $13 vs. 7 @ $13 would be a tough pill to swallow.

Sounds like he is looking for his last contract. Good luck Kong. Get rich, you deserve it.

Couch says: Sign Frank for $3M
Frank being Frank, I see him putting up better numbers if he was "screwed" by the Sox and signs elsewhere. He has a ton of pride and if he was to switch uniforms, he'd be on a mission. Having said that, there should be some consideration by the team for Franks total career contribution, and total career compensation. Much like they did with Jordan in one of his last seasons. Maybe $6,000,000 is too much for 2006, but he was seriously underpaid a few seasons compared to his peers. JR should step in, reward the face of the franchise, and not have it handcuff Kenny. Frank will be productive, witness his not fully healed numbers from this season.

Scientists Find Fossils in Sexual Union
QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Nov 3, 2005 -> 09:17 AM) I wonder what position they were in? Since you have more experience with microscopic male sex organs, what would you have recommended?

"Oops"..
Medical insurance is one of the biggest hindrances to small business. It is almost impossible for small companies to offer decent health care for their employees. As far as mistakes, I believe the profit motive causes some Doctors to over schedule appointments and work too fast.

And your AL Playoff, Steroid using Outfielder is..
QUOTE(aboz56 @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 05:33 PM) At least he man'd up and admitted it unlike some of these other clowns who just offered excuses. I was thinking the same thing. I actually gained a little respect for him. No b.s., I didn't know, etc. Althought it would have been funny if he said, Sosa left it behind

QUOTE(heavyduty @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 11:49 PM) "Refugee" by Tom Petty I saw him and the Black Crowes in Indy this last summer and it stormed so hard, the power at the theater went out during Refugee. Petty was getting right to the chourus when this happened, so everyone in the crowd started singing. By far the best concert I have ever been to. Petty is an awesome show. He is far better live than recorded.

Let me see if I understand this. Someone smeared some glue on the toilet seat, he sat down in the glue and was instantly bonded to the seat. Hmmmm. I'm no chemist, but most fast acting adhesives would have cured before he sat down. If it was still wet, wouldn't the immediate reaction be to stand up? I smell a poorly conceived attempt at extorting Home Depot.- You know you're a computer dork when you own
Mac does make a nice machine, in that over priced sort of way. I'm sitting here with 2 desktops and a laptop networked. I also have a Palm and some assorted hardware that could be used for small stand alone applications. I am working on using one to control the Christmas lights this year, but my family seems to think it is a waste of time. I said I would log on here and spend a few days discussing the possibilities.- the accolades continue
Rush claims this is an important victory for conservatives and will reinvigorate the party.- I have new found faith!
$50 to 1/2 seems fair to me. I would also check my cards for any charges first. Wouldn't that suck to give the guy a reward and find out he already "got his". I was wondering why this seemed so strange, then I remembered y'all are up north where this sort of thing would be unusual. Down here in Texas, the guy would have dropped it by your house with a nice pecan pie or a beer. But that's because we use the death penalty and everyone is deterred from crime.- Catch-All Anything Thread
