Normally I would say there will be pitch hitting opportunities for Carl, but with all the CG being tossed, who knows? But Carl can take his shoes off and rest at the start of the game, Dye should and deserves to be starting every game.

The Astros are my second favorite team, and it will be tough hitting against their starters. The very short left field line to the Crawford ST. boxes will be inviting to our righty power guys. Clemens should have been the run away Cy Young winner but he had a dozen starts where the team scored two runs or less, including being shut out 8 times in his starts. In those game he had a sub 2.00 ERA. I fear Houston more than the Cards, and am pulling for a seven game series to wear them down a bit more.

After being hammered at the end of game 3 and happy faced for game 4, it was milk and cookies (literally) at the end of last nght's game.

I've been a fan for 30+ years and can honestly say there was little "suffering". Sox fans are the best. I love attending the games. I love the great players who have donned the Sox uni, I love the characters that have come and gone. I've been disappointed, felt the baseball gods where alinged against us, but never suffered. All those disappointments make the AL Pennant that much sweeter. A sweet friend of mine sent me a cd and this morning I woke up to this tune

I catch about half the games with away announcers and these guys were pretty good and fair. After a steady diet of away announcers, some of them as big a fan boys as Hawk, it's really easy to take this crew.

I can't see Ozzie deviating from Contreras, Buerhle, Garcia, Garland. Sorry Mark, you may find the fans in Chicago are plenty nice as well. And will be shocked if Mark makes any statement that he would prefer to pitch in St. Louis. That would be a nice slap in the face to Sox fans who have cheered him very loudly for his career.
