  1. Now I'm convinced! Best argument of yours.
  2. Every one would swap their bottom ten guys for mlb ready players.
  3. So once Burger is here you'll argue to sit him so the next prospect gets consistent playing time? If there was a hole at third then it makes sense to play a prospect. There isn't a hole there anymore. So how Burger gets those consistent ABs against other prospects he'll be facing in the coming years.
  4. Look at the Yankee 40 man. You have guys that have zero MLB experience. Of course they would prefer the depth a MLB ready player gives them. I appreciate your love of the Burger but your passion has clouded whatever baseball sense you have.
  5. Burger is a great human by all media accounts. He's got MLB potential that we all hope he reaches. I hope he eventually is better than Moncada. But he's not there yet. That's not a bad thing, it's not an insult, he just has a way to go. Moncada isn't a first ballot HoF guy. That's not an insult. He has a ways to go. We shouldn't be ripping on either one of these guys to make the other one seem better.
  6. You realize Burger would take a 3rd baseman spot. None of those other guys would take a 3rd base spot, so what are you trying to prove? That the Yankees need a guy at 3rd but not at 2nd? Oswaldo Cabrera or Leury Garcia and you're thinking the Yankees would rather have Oswaldo than a MLB ready player?
  7. Abreu is covering 1st. Vaughn isn't healthy. So who do you want on the field Sheets or McGuire?
  8. If you have two equally talented players the one with more versatility is usually the choice.
  9. Jumped into RIVN today at $23. Holding for a long time.
  10. I'm just happy we're debating who's better. I don't think Burger is there yet, but maybe next season and probably 2024 he's the almost everyday guy.
  11. JR is paying the salaries. But you're most likely correct.
  12. Just over the Illinois line on Hwy 83 in the late 70s early 80s (when Illinois was 21 and Wisconsin was 18) there was Horsin' Around. I watched more than a few drunk sailors get tossed off the mechanical bull.
  13. Gusty winds for the game, but warming up a bit. I'm thinking six Sox runs on the board.
  14. Better defensively and we're long on catchers, short on DH's.
  15. If I was trying to make a career in baseball I'd look at Leury Garcia, buy five gloves, and start using them. There's a hole, I'll fill it. I think Burger is talented enough to pull it off.
  16. I heard it was. Ironically I guess the Cowboy Dance Hall here books mostly hip hop bands.
  17. I'm 90% there. I think of those five it would be easy to pick any one and say they deserve a spot ahead of any of the other four. Personally, *for this roster and season*, I like Leury ahead of Burger. But I wouldn't disagree if you put Burger ahead of Sheets or Mendick and I'd agree to disagree with Harrison. I'm really hoping he's not traded, but if he was I cheer for him in whatever uniform he was wearing.
  18. He already turned down a trip to the Mets minors, why would he go to the Sox minors?
  19. Micky Gilley. Musician, promotor, businessman. Road that Urban Cowboy theme to riches. Died in Branson where he had a theater.
  20. I disagree. He may be stalker-like in his love for Burger, and slasher-like in his hate for Moncada, but I think it's his genuine opinion. To be a troll he would be faking those points. Other posters who merely like Burger and like Moncada on the Polar Bear scale will appear to hate Burger and love Moncada. That gets him as excited as a Baptist preacher at a revival meetin'. What's interesting is at one time @Polar Bear was a big Moncada fan. Something changed but he's never said what it was.
  21. I'd like to see mohito from tonight's lineup.
