Just got home from a coaches meeting. Just looking at the score I'm not certain I want to turn on the game.

He's on a roll.

It's so clean and safe now it has little original character. Unoriginal food generally from Sysco or Ben E Keith. Extra large overpriced margaritas from a mix with crappy tequila. But a lot of cities are like that. A tourist area that exaggerates the local customs.

We have five days staying in one of the state parks about half way up. A fish boil, a couple wineries, hiking the state parks, Swedish breakfast, Washington Island, and possibly walleye fishing green bay are all on our list. Are we missing any thing and any places better than others?

Why the only locals you see on Riverwalk are working, homeless, or dragged by out of town guests.

Sadly this is easily the best place in San Antonio for a hot dog and fries. If you're in San Antonio and missing real Chicago dogs, Wrigleyville is the place to go. Don't judge me.

Plus he has a couple decades of working with and knowing the players. I doubt any were surprised and if they were surprised it means he never acted inappropriately with a player ( unlike the Hawks). Occam's razor has me believing his firing was based on the team injuries so they went in a different direction. But like others here I wouldn't rule out his age and orientation were factored in. The worst outcome to me is the most likely, a settlement that doesn't reveal what happened.

I'm sensing a tradition starting

My son got me thinking of this. A few years ago he sold some of his Tesla stock to buy a Tesla. Last year he sold some of his Ford stock to buy a Tremor. He's got a Rivian truck on order and you can guess his plan. It's not the wisest play, but seems fun. I have about a six year horizon before I buy my next truck. I doubt the electric truck capability will meet my needs in six years, but it will be interesting. My current outlook is needing a one ton truck to tow a fifth wheel and probably not be around civilization that much. Diesel is probably the option for me then, but who knows.

This week was championship week for some of my former and current players. All came so close to doing something remarkable. In the end it's been one kick in the gut after another. Texas HS 5A runner up. Texas HS 6A runner up. NCAA D1 top 10 Regional, barely missed qualifying for Nationals. But the sun came up this morning. They are all incredible young men and woman who I was very fortunate to get to know and I'm certain there will be bigger wins in their futures.

It could happen

There is a slim chance the termite guy turned down a chance to pick up a couple thousand dollar termite case. But that little bit of doubt would have me do one of two things. Send one to your country extension office. Most places I've lived have experts to identify pests and stuff. Alternately if you have a university close by find out who the expert is. Second route is a second opinion from a different pest control company. Either way you hosted an insect orgy with thousands of participants than when they were all getting laid you interrupted and killed them. I'd be worried that some sort of sex karma is going to get you.
