This week was championship week for some of my former and current players. All came so close to doing something remarkable. In the end it's been one kick in the gut after another. Texas HS 5A runner up. Texas HS 6A runner up. NCAA D1 top 10 Regional, barely missed qualifying for Nationals. But the sun came up this morning. They are all incredible young men and woman who I was very fortunate to get to know and I'm certain there will be bigger wins in their futures.

There is a slim chance the termite guy turned down a chance to pick up a couple thousand dollar termite case. But that little bit of doubt would have me do one of two things. Send one to your country extension office. Most places I've lived have experts to identify pests and stuff. Alternately if you have a university close by find out who the expert is. Second route is a second opinion from a different pest control company. I think 90% of the players would prefer to not get injured and maximize their athletic potential. They also realize their careers are best served by having the best trainer possible.

So the team is guilty unless this goes to court? Is that really fair? If this is settled out of court it would mean that all parties, including the plaintiff, are satisfied. If the plaintiff is satisfied, I'm satisfied too. We won't know which it is but I'm not going to blame victims for settling or blame organizations for settling nuisance suits. You are certainly welcome to say you are not satisfied with the conclusion and take whatever action you find appropriate.

No. So if every detail *didn't* happen and they settle out of court, no consequences? Everyone ok with that? Which is why I really hope this isn't settled out of court. Based on the team's injury history his termination didn't raise any questions that I can remember. But knowing how inept the front office can be, his allegations aren't outside of possibilities.
