Hmmm if you should be a couple pounds heavier anyway, how much does silicon weigh? Seems easier than just eating a bunch more I'm joking Steff. As long as you are not starving yourself, let your body decide where you should be. Continue to eat a healthy diet and don't worry about the pounds. Oh crap. I just computed mine. I have to get on the treadmill, Good day y'all. 28.1 Just for grins I checked my college weight of 6'1 145 and found out I wasn't underweight like I assumed. I've only put on 70 pounds since then, is that too much

  5. Plus we have to remember that the Astros are actually considering Clemens their 4 or 5 starter. At least that's been some of the comments I've read down here. I find it hard to believe, perhaps taking some pressure off Clemens for thos provisions. My guess is if Houston is in the race after the All-Star game Clemens is too competitive to sit home.
  6. Marriotti is correct. He is correct most of the time. The Sox screw up over and over again.

You hit the nail on the head. The sausage is different. The spices are all wrong. There was one pizza place down here that was started by a guy from Eastern Michigan who knew Chicago pizza. Unfortunantly, he located in about the worst part of the worst town for success and folded in 7 months. He was having the sausage shipped in from a vendor in, I believe, Tinley Park. The place near 53 and Algonquin was a smaller chain. I never picked up, so I don't remember the exact location. I do remember being told they also had a pizza buffet at lunch. I've done the Lou's route but I think it is my electric oven that somehow takes away from the full Lou's taste. Eli's almost killed me. I use to drive by their outlet 2 times a week, always right after lunch. I had a 2 cheesecake a week habit for a while. Damn those are good. The manager of my club had one sent in for my birthday a couple years ago. I hooked a few people on chocolate chip cheesecake after that.

  9. I think it is the curse of Bobby Hull.
  10. I love the whole excitment of the campaigns. Growing up in Lake County I was always on the losing end. Grace Mary Stern was the only Dem to ever get re-elected in Lake county for 100 years. I also remember when the Equal Rights Amendment was on it's last legs. I stopped by the office and there was such sadness. People who had spent literally years trying to get it passed knew the end was then. 25 feet away was a party for an aquantance who was going to the state senate. Cheers, party noises, champaign. I didn't think I could ever care about a campaign again.

Nope, there is no pizza in Texas. The worst pizza in Chicago is way better than the best in Texas. And they cut the damn thing in pie shaped wedges instead of squares. I refuse to call any round thing with cheese and sauce a pizza just because some chain calls it that. Give me a A. Pat's Revenge from Pat's Pizza in Grayslake. Sausage, Green Pepper, Onion, and Mushroom. B. Lou Malnatti's deep dish sausage C. Damn I forget the place near Algonquin and 53 in Schaumburg. Great bacon (not canadian) pizza.
  12. I thought Yes, More than 1 Party would cover that.
  13. When the mercury hits 100 degrees in Chicago, the city calls it a weather emergency, people die, and the city opens up cooling shelters. Here it is just another summer day. Likewise, when it hits 40 degrees here, people die and they open up emergency warming shelters. People in Chicago put on a sweater. I use to spend my winters out ice fishing, camping in Wisconsin, a little skiing at one of the Mt. Trashmores or in Lake Geneva. Now that would kill me. But I regularly walk the course when it hits 103 and just make sure to drink plenty of water and shorten up my swing. The tendency is to overswing in really hot weather. You also need to keep the grips dry. Now a couple years ago we hit 109 with 55% humidity, that was a very nasty day.

You've been watching too many Crocodile Dundee movies.
  20. We have 4 seasons in Texas. McAllen temps ranch from lows in the 40's during winter to lows in the 80's and 90's during summer. We have Maples that change color and drop their leaves. I trade snow and frostbite for 100+ days for weeks on end. It's all from where you sit. Y'all don't have a summer. I don't have a winter.
  21. Wish I had added that to my buy list. BTW, soxtalk.com is mine if y'all ever forget to pay your bill

Congratulations on getting your first choice. That is a great area of research to get into. Being in an area that is largly bi-lingual I am more interested in language development than before. Partly because I want to understand why I can not seem to "get" a foreign language. Who are some of the profs you will be working with?
  24. I just read the article and didn't get the same feel. He reported that some poeple have said he lost his position. That may be true, some people may think he has lost focus on football, whatever. Same thing in golf when a player gets married. How many times did some head in the media say Tiger's downfall will be marriage and children? I hear about coaches and quarterbacks working 70 and 80 hour weeks. Basically giving up their lives for football. Anyone who gives less is considered to not have focus or the desire to win. Maybe not exact to Warner's statements but I think his overall comment about what other people in football think are right on.
