  1. This isn't the playoffs. OU has 1 loss and I don't see any undefeated teams. OU has been very impressive all season long. As a U of Texas Longhorn fan this is killing me to say but, I still think they are the best team in the country. I can't see jumping any two of the 3 teams mentioned past them. OU spent most of the season blowing out some good teams by 4 and 5 touchdowns. .
  2. I keep quoting from your posts and CNN. You keep saying Drudge; and it's been on CNN with verification from his spokesperson and I listened to it. I don't think Eminem wants the president dead either. I also think it is in very bad taste. CW, You never did respond. Is it ok to rap you want the president dead? Simple question, I'm not asking if your hero rapped it or not. Is it ok for any singer to sing they want the president dead?
  3. DJ's mummified body found behind wall in club Winnipeg mystery Chris Wattie National Post Saturday, December 06, 2003 Winnipeg disc jockey Eduardo Sanchez, 21, was last seen just before 3 a.m. on Oct. 12, 2002, when he talked to friends near the Village Cabaret. Police say they likely will never know why Eduardo Sanchez crawled behind a nightclub wall. Some time in the early hours of a cold October day last year, a young disc jockey stumbled into a Winnipeg cabaret and disappeared. This week, police found the mummified body of Eduardo Sanchez entombed behind a wall in the basement of the popular nightclub, 14 months after he was last seen alive. Article Here
  4. you can do better than saying I said words that I did not say nor riding the bandwagon of a slow news day I gave the link to your post. What more can I do? Em's spokesperson confirmed it was his work. I find it offensive that he wants the president of the US dead. You must think that it is OK. no one said anything that you said people said - twist and turn and distort and allude but no one said what you said they said - there still is no proof that lyric you distort even exists ap[art from a Drudge report and that is to say the least shaky THe last link was to a CNN article with a QUOTE FROM EM'S SPOKESPERSON. How much mroe proof do you want? Do you even read any of this or do you just jump to EM's defense like some pie eyed love sick teenage idol worshiper? number 1 apologist? At least I am honest about what is said and don't play with facts to create my own urban legends Let's see quotes from Em's spokesperson saying it was a work in progress, perhaps in the final cut he'll just wish Bush gets the sniffles? CNN reporting the Secret Service confirms the existance and confirming Em recorded it. Are you saying the Secret Service would lie about this? When will you believe your hero rapped this? gees this is a crock of s*** You are correct. I have lost a lot of respect for those with no concerns about accuracy rather than hate Accuracy? I posted links to everything. I read a f***ing quote from the guys spokesperson. You have your head up Em's ass for reasons I can't fathom. The next thing you're going to post is nah nah nah nah I can't hear you nah nah nah nah and now from the Mr. I don't care what was really said, I'll pretend as I want it to be: Is someone posting under your name? I can't believe you are denying something that you posted. I guess you didn't read the post that Eminem's spokesperson confirmed it. CW, you're a lot smarter than this. Your buddy f***ed up and some people who find threats to the president offensive will not like it no matter how many records he's sold. I like his stuff. I think up until this point, and probably past this, he will be regarded as one of the biggest influences in rap. I just think he stepped too far over the line with this one. I'd be saying the same thing if it was Korn, Vince Gill, Eminem, or the Abba Kids. You're too blinded by some loyalty to Eminem to see that. By-the-way I guess you haven't heard the song. It was at www.hiphophavoc.com
  5. CW, the last link was to the report on CNN with quotes from Em's people. If you still don't want to believe he said that stuff that's fine. Didn't say it? I posted the link to your exact post. If you are unhappy with my edit, I'll accept that. That is why I provided the link to your post. I have questions for you. Would it be ok for Em to rap he wants the president dead? Would it be ok for him to rap he wants a famous NFL player dead? Is there a difference between Em rapping it and someone writing a letter? Does how many copies of something someone sells make it ok?
  6. NEW YORK (CNN) -- The Secret Service is trying to determine if any action needs to be taken regarding a lyric from rapper Eminem that may be a threat to President Bush. The lyric comes from a bootleg Eminem recording -- one of several from the rapper making rounds on the Internet over the past week. In the song called "We Are American," Eminem sings: "(Expletive) money, I don't rap for dead presidents. I'd rather see the president dead." Dennis Dennehy, a spokesman for the Grammy- and Academy Award-winning rapper, told CNN the song was not ready for release. "This was an unfinished song, either lost or stolen," Dennehy said. "There was no determination where, when, how or if it was going to be used." the rest of the story http://www.cnn.com/2003/SHOWBIZ/Music/12/05/eminem.lyrics/ As far as the deep comment: "What underlies Em's music is far deeper than "attacking" others." From CWSOX's post http://www.soxtalk.com/index.php?showtopic=12592 And now from Em's #1 apologist . . .
  7. At some point he's probably budgeting by position and may only have 2 mil for a 2nd baseman. Grab the money while it's there.
  8. Williams said. "I know sometimes fans and people want a guarantee. We heard that when we brought up the kid with the funny name (Magglio Ordonez) and put him in right field. "They said, 'C'mon, that's not a big-league name!' And now it's a chant [at the ballpark] and I'm criminal No. 1 if I trade the guy." _______________ Yes, KW you are public enemy #1 if you trade Maggs. I'm glad you understand that.
  9. Isn't it interesting that a rapper could rap he wants the president killed and some people will defend it as "deep" and "artistic" but if you aren't famous, and not musically inclined, it becomes a real threat? If these were song lyrics would we think it was ok? Hmmm. I think it's wrong in both cases. But that's just an old man talking.

    Favorite X-mas Song?

Eminem mustn't have recorded a Christmas Rap yet; if he did I wonder how it would go? "I don't rap for dead Messiahs, I want Messiahs dead" that's deep My choice is Amy Grant's Breath of Heaven (Mary's Song)
  11. Shall I log in from Mexico to tag another country?
  12. I guess I've gotten old, but IMHO wishing someone dead in the name of art doesn't make a great artist. Describe to me the deepness of wanting someone dead? The right to free speech doesn't allow someone to yell fire in a crowded theater. Put any spin on it you like but I for one just stopped buying his cds.
  13. I think we've gone overboard with some of the zero tolerance rules which limit the administrations options to sanely deal with matter's like this.
  14. I've got to agree with Southsider, when the career lags -- shock.
  15. Agreed, it's about the only way to be entertained at a Bulls or Bears game
  16. Bossier School Board upholds Advil expulsion Girl had over-the-counter pills in purse at school Melody Brumble / The Times Posted on December 5, 2003 A student expelled from Parkway High for a year for having Advil, an over-the-counter pain reliever, will not be allowed to return to the school. Kelly Herpin and daughter Amanda Stiles, a sophomore, appealed the one-year expulsion to a Bossier Parish School Board committee Thursday night, spending about 10 minutes with the board's administrative committee behind closed doors. The committee and the full board voted unanimously to uphold an administrative decision that Stiles be expelled to the alternative school. School boards hold such hearings in a closed session, but parents have the right under state law to request that such sessions be open. Herpin didn't make that request but did speak to reporters after the hearing. She left before the board voted on her request but learned of its decision by phone. "I'm not really sure at this point what we'll do," Herpin said. "I'm going to have to talk to my husband, and we're going to have to make some plans. I'm not sure we could afford a private school. We've been looking at moving to another area." For the rest of the story http://www.shreveporttimes.com/html/AE0F03...F1898F37C.shtml The school was searching for . . . OMG, cigarettes which would carry a one week suspension and found the motherlode, Advil. No word if it was sell weight or pepersonal use.
  17. A new shock song from rapper Eminem wishes the president dead, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned... On the track WE AS AMERICANS, obtained by DRUDGE, the nation's top selling rapper shockingly rants: 'F**k money. I don't rap for dead presidents. I'd rather see the president dead. It's never been said, but I set precedents and the standards and they can't stand it... We as Americans. Us as a citizen. We've got to protect ourselves'...
  18. We stretch from average highs of 60 in the winter to 105 in the middle of summer. We have beach and golf seasons. Flowers bloom year round. I will admit right now is absolutely perfect weather. By the time June hits we will be basking in 100 degree days for weeks on end so that sucks. But I'll trade weeks of 100 degrees for snow, ice, slush, wind chills of -anything anyday. We have 4 seasons, Spring, summer, bake, and broil. Nothing like wearing shorts to a hockey game and not freezing my huevos off.
  19. Hmmm, snow . . . I remember . . . brrrrr . . . adios frio, hola caliente! The only way for us to get ice on the roads is if my margarita flies out of my hand.

    Mom sentenced

How sad the courts had to decide between these two "un-fit mom of the year" types.
  21. The prison guard will give her mayo on her burger
  22. I'm not sure which moments I love more, the ones that my kids and I both laugh at or the times I'm LMAO and they have no clue.
  23. Woman gets 10 years for running over McDonald's manager By ANDREW TILGHMAN Copyright 2003 Houston Chronicle A McDonald's customer who flew into a violent rage when she was denied mayonnaise on her cheeseburger got 10 years in prison today for running over the restaurant's manager. Waynetta Nolan, 37, could have received as much as 20 years in prison for hitting Sherry Allen Jenkins with her car, dragging the employee across the parking lot and breaking her pelvis at the McDonald's in southwest Houston. Nolan showed little emotion this afternoon when the jury came back with the punishment after four hours of deliberation. Earlier this morning, however, as the jury heard testimony in the punishment phase of Nolan's trial, her 43-year-old victim tearfully said she couldn't pick up her grandchildren because of the injuries she suffered in the incident. "I put the mayonnaise on her burger," Jenkins told jurors. "I took the onions and the mustard off. What did I do?" The rest of the story http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/topstory/2268726
