Bulls close to buying out contract of Jay Williams
I would guess that the $3,000,000 bought them something. Perhaps a release from insurance or disability claims. Even though the accident was against his contract, he was still injured and probably entitled to disability pay.

Con/Alt/Del inventor
One of the great hidden Easter eggs in windows involves CTR-Alt-DEL. Start up Word and Excel. You must have them opened side by side. Press CTR-ALT-DEL when the dialog device comes up where it tells you that pressing CTR-ALT-DEL again will restart press CTR-ALT-DEL again and be surprised. Very cool.

For our sailors
The Retired Chief And The Chicken Ranch The old Chief finally retired from the Navy and got that chicken ranch he always wanted. He took with him his lifelong pet parrot. The chicken ranch had a mixture of brown and white chickens. First morning at 0430, the parrot squeaked and said, "Off yer hocks and don yer socks. Reveille." The old chief told the parrot, "we are no longer in the Navy. Go back to sleep." The next morning, the parrot did the same thing. The old Chief told the parrot, "Look, if you keep this up, I will put you out in the chicken pen." Again the parrot did it, and true to his word, the Chief put the parrot in the chicken pen. About 0630, the Chief was awakened by one heck of a ruckus in the chicken pen. He went out to see what was the matter. The parrot had about 40 white chickens in formation and on the ground lay 3 bruised and beaten brown ones with out any feathers on them. The parrot was saying, "By God, when I say fall out in dress whites, I don't mean Khakis!"

Which is your favorite White Sox team of All Time?
The Southside Hit Men of 1977 for so many reasons. What a great season. The Sox were #1 in the city. It was fun to go to the games. The team was exciting. They won 90 games, f*cking Royals won 100. Baines was the #1 draft pick. I don't think there can ever be a season as much fun as that. Thinking about screaming Hey Hey Hey Good Bye with 40,000 fans still bring goosebumps. You knew we could win every game.

Oscar nominees are out
Pirates was an awesome surprise. I went because my son and I were looking for something to do. I was blown away. ROTK also was a huge surprise. I was prepared for a let down (I am a Sox fan). I figured there was no way they could continue to deliver such an great product. Shooting all three at the same time paid off in a big way. How many other sequel movies (I know it's not a true sequel) kept up consistantly high values throughout the run?

$$$ I'm certain he got paid more for a gay video than a straight. I guess it is kind of the virgin thing. Why would it come out now? I'll bet to try and have it settle before Spring Training. If the story doesn't have ang legs in a month or so, it will not cause a distraction to the team. I wonder if Zero has a copy . . .

Best way to get money owed to you???
Send a nice letter stating when you expect to get paid. When the deadline passes take it to small claims court.

Eleven bodies buried in house near U.S. border
Chicago is still the murder capitol of the US. Murders have been few here on the Texas - Mexico border. McAllen is a city of 115,000 and I believe we had 1 murder in town last year. Within the past couple of years the Rio Grande Valley has seen a few multiple homicides, always linked to the drug trade. But for the most part the Mexico border towns are much safer than many Chicago neighborhoods.

bible verse question
Could it be: Malachi Malachi 1:4 Though Edom says, "We have been beaten down, but we will return and build up the ruins"; thus says the LORD of hosts, "They may build, but I will tear down; and men will call them the wicked territory, and the people toward whom the LORD is indignant forever."

Work question...
Was he at lunch with a client? Way back in the neanderthal ages of the 1980s and early 1990s a two or three martini lunch with a customer was the norm. Some industries have gone away from that big time. Some customers still cling to it and salepeople have to devide ways to handle it. At one time I had three of the biggest alcoholics as my biggest customers., Lunches on T-W-F were all drinking affairs. In all cases I would pick up a couple cheeseburgers and fries before "lunch". The classis was the guy who went to the same restaurant every day. He had a race with his favorite waitress if she could mix his old fashion and get it to the table before he got to his table. Then she would take my order and when she brought me my drink, she would bring another for him. Then when the food was served, she would slip another fresh drink and ask me if I wanted one. There was no declining so when she brought me one he would have another. That out him 4-2 on me and we're just to the food. As she cleared away the plates another drink would appear and it was time for an "after lunch drink". Same scenario repeated itself. He would have 6 old fashions every day. My other two heavy drinkers had similar plans. They never actually ordered the drinks, their waitresses knew what to do. They never drew attention to themselves by ordering, and they all appeared fairly normal.

A Winter f@#$ing wonderland
Sorry, I was busy picking fresh oranges off my tree and couldn't post sooner to share your pain. Very tasty this year. We had a fair amount of rain, which really helped. I'm a little sunburned from this past weekend. Do not worry. Soon the warm weather and slush and mud will be everywhere.

$115 for a Pinewood Derby Car
eBay link Some of you may have raced in Pinewood Derbies as kids. Basically in Cub Scouts they are for the parent and child to take a $4 kit and build a nice little car and race against other kids. Should be low key fun. But then some families take it way too serious . . .
