And let me add, without seeming to spam post. The best possibility for a Jewish, Black, Woman, or any other group who has not joined the Rich White Male club called the Presidency, is under the Republican umbrella. The GOP diehards will continue to punch their straight tickets (and they do mean straight don't they) and many Dems would applaud the opening up of the system to all candidates. Almost a lock.

Review your history, they said the same thing about Kennedy and being Catholic. Don't let the Pope in the White House.

I watched Lieberman on the dabates and I liked him. I dismissed him early because I didn't think he was going to get any traction. Perhaps the front runners may bloody themselves and Joe can get the nomination. In a small way he reminds me of Sen. Simon. Not the politics as much as the presentation. He scores high on my integrity scale. My son dislikes him because of his anti-video game stance. I try not to pay too much attention until we get closer to my primary. No use wasting time and energy reviewing some candidate that will bow out before Texas.

    So customs keeps the white?
  5. Israel4ever, I am ready to prove any statement that you like. I realized I threw away my vinyl and 8 track tapes of Marvin Gaye's What's Goin' On which may have proven it's my favorite peace anthem. So y'all will just have to take my word for it. Earlier you accused me of making statements without facts and I would like a chance to prove I have not made a statement I couldn't back with facts. I think it's funny you attacked me and I agreed with the wall.

Are they going to merge the uniforms also? At the border they have different uniforms. Since we have our choice of going into line with an immigration or customs official, I always get in the immigration agents lines. they move faster. Immigration isn't nearly as thourough as customs.

I haven't seen too many that do not want more, it's all about how we create more without overlapping and redundency and giving up any of our freedoms. It's easy to say we are only going to investigate people who are a threat, but how do you know if they pose a threat or not before investigating? So your email gets checked, apu's posts are sent to a clearing house, they start tracking how many times I leave the US and for how long. And soon we have the same problems we have repeated throughout our history.

BTW Nuke, sorry if it seemed like I was attacking all government programs. I'm just getting very leery of the DoJ and Homeland Security.
  10. I just want you to take off the burqa you qualify and bio what?

But they all cross paths. The same threats are worldwide and they cross state lines. I believe we can do great things through our government. I just want them to use my money wisely.
  12. Interesting, about three or four pages back we were discussing who is and isn't a Jew. Not yet Jews

For starters get the different agencies to realize they are all on the same side. That was the root of the intelligence problems. I find it embarrasing when I hear that agencies didn't share info because they wanted to look good in budget reviews. W had to create an agency to make all the kids in the sand box play nice. Wouldn't it have been better if that money could have been spent on processing all the intelligence we already have? Right now we have several over lapping agencies all investigating the same thing. Three years ago in New Mexico we had one agency "bust" another. One agency set up a sting operation and they busted an FBI agent who was setting up his own sting. We wasted hundreds of thousands of dollars and someone almost got killed. I was trying to find the link but couldn't. It's an extreme case and may never happen again. Number two there has to be probably cause before wiretapping, eavesdropping etc. NO way a US citizen should be giving up their rights like that.

Which is exactly why Nixon started an enemies list, McCarthy started his hunt for commies, NY's Red Squad photgraphed anti-war protesters. This stuff gets out of hand if we just trust our government to do whatever we think they should do.

The problem is we need another government agency to get agencies to communicate. Imagine if that was your unit who wasn't communicating with another unit. Would your CO assign a new unit to facilitate communication? Why not get the agencies to talk to each other and save my tax dollars?
  16. Frank and Maggs want it moved in and the pitchers are b****ing. It's all part of the ISA, US Cellular, and some worldwide conspiracy against righthanded batters. I could be worng, and if I am, someone will tell me. And Steff by using the you are clearly showing a pro-Arab and anti semite bias you b****

Nuke, You are correct but when do we have too much? It's all a balancing act. Shall we cut off all government spending except military and domestic security? Let people starve, cut off funding for education, etc.? Of course not. Just because something is worthwhile doesn't mean it can have an unlimited budget. We need to maximize our effectiveness with every dollar that goes to Washington. When I hear we need an agency to facilitate communications between agencies, because the CIA wasn't sharing with the FBI, who wasn't sharing with INB, who wasn't . . . I think we have a problem. Each agency was justifying their existance and wanting the glory so they withheld what they were working on.
  18. kap, if you do not agree with him 100% of the time your are against him and anti-semite. Thats is my opinion. No way to prove it except to ask people to read all of his posts and make their own judgement. He's like a wounded rat in a trap, he'll snap at every one even those trying to help him. So much rage.
  19. I've posted pictures of the border, I've quoted from the White House, what exactly do you want me to prove that I haven't already? I doubt you will find anything I've stated that wasn't proven.
  20. I quoted What's Going On, my all time favorite peace anthem.
  21. Israel, I have a joke for you. A good friend of mine told it to me and I thought of you. A young Jewish man calls home and talks to his mother. "Mom, I have some news you may like and you may not like, I'm getting married!" "That's wonderfull Joey, but why wouldn't I be happy?" "Well mom, she's isn't Jewish, she's American Indian" "Oh vey" "Her name is Running Deer and I know you will like her" "Joey, Joey, Joey, what will I tell your bubby?" "and mom, I've taken an Indian name my self, I am Smiling Owl" silence from mom "And mom, I think you should have an Indian name also" "I already do" "You do? What is it?" "Sitting Shiva when you father hears about this"
  22. 2k4, Check my IP address to make sure I'm not you I'm the tourist center for the US Mexico border. You really need to cross on a hand operated ferry. I love paying for the right to grab the rope and haul the ferry across. I also mentioned Marvin Gaye, Damn he could sing. I think he could sing the McDonalds menu and I'd be happy. Southsider2k4 seems to be picking up where southsider2k3 left off. I think they may be the same guy
  23. Nuke, where did that come from? I think you may have me confused with someone else.

The problem as I see it is more along the lines of government programs never seem to die. Each party loves to spend money. As I listened to W's speech I kept hearing more money for this and more money for that. We spent record amounts of money during the Reagan years and he's probably the most popular president in the past 40 years. We put in sunset provisions in the beginning and then quietly remove them later. How many overlapping agencies do we need? Republicans are not without their contradictions. We can trust the government to execute citizens but not to cure their colds. I would think small Government Republicans would also be concerned about creating these giant oversight agencies.
