A friend of mine in Hawaii posted a story of a honeymoon couple there that kept telling the hotel manager they were allowed to go out. They were arrested for ignoring the self-quarantine order.

The strings may be too short. Hobby Lobby has extenders.

Once again Tex can explain it for you but he can't understand it for you. He posted about his local Sports Clips and the steps they are taking now that they are reopen. It is normal for people to stay on topic. Hey look a squirrel!!

LOL. No sharpeners in my classroom. This is a current production. Funny you should mention it but I found one of the original built in the 1950s, must have weighed ten pounds, version at an antique store. Damn thing had a $75 price tag. It was nearly pristine in condition. Just enough wear to give it that authentic feel.

What do you think? Safe or unsafe? I've been to half a dozen doctor's appointments in the past month, this doesn't seem much worse than that risk.

LOL who would have imagined they would be selling those?
-
I guess I just misspelled misery.

Shh. he doesn't realize most people buy that stuff in bulk. Scrap wood challenges have been very popular the past month or two.

Repairs have to keep happening. Lumberyards and Home Centers have never closed here. Maybe there in Missouri.

My most recent major project. I made both pieces. The corbels were more fun than I thought. The upper shelf started with some interesting tin my wife found at a restoration shop.

775 I hope you are ready for the new age with at the minimum a gun and at best with a passport. After a second, and deadlier wave hits this country we will permanently ban all social gatherings. The only opportunity to be face to face with other humans will be at work. Any form of entertainment will be cancelled. People will be forced to cut their own hair, cut their own nails, and massage our own muscles. Police, in addition to guns, will be carrying instant read thermometers and if you are running a fever you will be disappeared to a special isolation building. Image no religion too. Once the 1% have control of everything, we will merely be worker bots creating greater wealth for the richest. To avoid the spread of disease we will stop voting and just allow a council if the top ten companies to make decisions.

Did I miss someone posting about one of Trump's valets testing positive? Apparently the valets to the President are military officers. https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/07/politics/trump-valet-tests-positive-covid-19/index.html

I agree about the pursuit of money. I just think that once on the arena of being a professional athlete they are often choosing between two places that are not home. Harper, for example, couldn't stay in Las Vegas to be near his hometown. Would Frank Thomas been happier in Atlanta to be near home? IDK. I guess the closest I can think of was Buerhle flirting with the Cardinals every once in a while. But with the very limited choice they have in cities to work, and the very few differences between employers, money becomes a bigger factor. Calling him greedy for taking the highest bid between two cities that are equal is unfair.
-
Players that we would be discussing have the financial resources to move their families plus friends, girlfriends, pets and anyone else to live anywhere near their team. They would be taking their kids to a private school of their choosing. No doubt there is a chance they would not enjoy a city or actually have a hometown team. But how many free agents do you think that could possibly include? If you are playing the game and become a free agent, money and time are easily the biggest differences between offers. Chicago versus Philly? New York versus Pittsburgh? Milwaukee versus Houston? It seems like most free agents face a situation between two cities that they have no connection to. I absolutely agree with what you are saying for most people. Harper for example could say he wants to play in his hometown and I am certain the Aviators would love having him on the roster. However, the As would eventually buy his contract and force him to move to Oakland. Then it would be retire or go play in Oakland. It's such a weird situation for them.

What could a team do to offer him more time with family? I'm trying to think of a single factor that would be different in what teams would offer?
-
And you know professional athletes are competitive.
