Our fee is $5 per month. I was a little surprised at the fee, but if it is necessary to kick start the program, I don't mind. So far only a couple hundred families have signed up. I am guessing they want a slow ramp up.

So my town finally started curbside recycling. Prior to this I was loading up the CRV every few weeks and dropping the stuff off at the town's facility. Ours is voluntary in 95 gallon containers. Cost is $5 per month and you have to attend an orientation and training session. They are not accepting glass, plastics 3 and up, and a few other things.

The traditional school calendar in the US is partially based on the needs of an agricultural society, which is clearly not necessary today. Should schools switch to a year round calendar or keep the current calendar?

It is you and a date for a New Years weekend and you have your choice of spending it in Time Square watching the ball drop or watching the snow fall outside a private mountain lodge in Vail, Colorado. Both rooms are appropriately outfitted and typical for the areas. The lodge has a fireplace and oversized tub, the Times Square hotel is a four star hotel with fine dining and a lively bar.

One of the few things I really dislike about my job, it's that time of year when many of my students transfer out to go to schools "up north" for the agriculture season. I know at 14 and 15 years old that many will be needed to help support the family by working and will not be enrolled in Michigan, Indiana, Minnesota, schools. Instead they will be back in school when the calendar reads late October or early November. I also know the reception they receive when they get to those towns. Some good and some not so good. By now I know them fairly well as damn good kids like the one that just left my classroom with her transfer paper in hand.

I have built a couple systems from newegg parts and consider them to be the gold standard for on line businesses. Never a problem. My son just built one and he loves it. It has become much easier than crawling on the floor looking for jumper pins and trying to figure out setting that do not conflict with each other.

By that I mean that each person will have a chance to post three times before the debate is closed. After that a poll will be opened to determine the winner. The four winners will face off against each other over two more topics, with the final two coming after that. The first four topics come from the areas of public policy, food and drink, and travel and entertainment. I avoided any topics that would be divided by political ideology. Or any division I could instantly think of, so it should be entertaining. I am leaving some of this to chance, please only respond to one of the questions. I am not going to set a min or max length of the posts, just remember if they become too long people will stop reading. Remember I am using a poll to determine wins and loses, that is about the messiest way possible, but you are being judged by your peers. As a preview, the topics I will be using for the opening round Dollar bill v. dollar coin Thin crust v. deep dish Beer v. coffee New Years Eve in Times Square v. romantic mountain cabin Remember it will be first come first served in each debate.
