  1. I believe he picks whatever side will get him the most attention. Remember his Rose column? Just liking Rose wasn't enough, he had to take a swipe at Jordan.
  2. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 19, 2011 -> 10:45 AM) That scene is definitely up there. I'd be lying if I said it didn't get me jumping after many viewings. The other part I love is the famous "you're gonna need a bigger boat" scene because I'm sitting there in anticipation waiting for the shark to pop up, but I can never seem to get the timing exactly right. In the making of video there is a scene I really wish they could have made. Remember when the Harbor Master walks out of his office late at night? Well he was suppose to head over to the water to rinse his coffee cup. As he is bending over you see sailboats one at a time start rocking as the shark gets closer and closer. Then, well no more harbor master. But, they did the two guys fishing with the roast instead, which is classic. Swim Charlie, swim!
  3. Do you think we would love Cowley if he was anti-Cubs?
  4. Notable on this day, North Korea goes from one kook to another.
  5. Kentucky rain keeps falling down
  6. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 18, 2011 -> 06:38 PM) For my money, still the scariest movie ever made. Every once in a while I get surprised. Somehow I had forgotten the scene when they are diving on the scuttled boat and the head pops out the hold. I screamed like the little girl I am.
  7. FBI?
  8. Christmas cards, candy, cheer, carols, caroling, but no cocaine
  9. Almost Christmas
  10. SS when Cowley is gone someone else will take his place. The good versus evil is good for business. Check out the villains thread, to have heroes we need villains.
  11. Blaze, why is Chicago considered a Cub's town? The more people are talking about the Sox, the easier Brook Broyer's job is. Cowley says something negative and Sox fans circle the wagons like pioneers. The talk helps sell tickets and keeps the team from being forgotten under all the Bears, Bulls, and Hawk talk.
  12. I have watched the original Jaws about 25 times. Under the stars, at the beach, with waves lapping on shore, just awesome.
  13. Is it better to support the stores that never would advertise on that show or the show that did advertise then stop?
  14. Yes, just in Texas, but the only candidate that has won a national election is Obama. Not much of a chance to win a national election in this country.
  15. I hope one day all religions will not be unfairly attacked. It is sad when one religion attacks another, there are more than enough secular attacks. And let's not forget Christians are mocked and attacked regularly in our society.
  16. How many times have you voted for him? You sound like White, Sanchez, and the nine other candidates that have lost to him. Never underestimate a guy who has been elected that many times. He is undefeated in elections.
  17. 175 posts for a Cowley column. The front office should pay the Sun Times to keep him employed. And I hope Coop knows to keep playing the game with Cowley, it is the best pr that a pitching coach could ever hope for. The more Cowley attacks Cooper the more his legend grows with Sox fans.
  18. Not quite the quote. He wants to be the Tebow of the Iowa caucus.
  19. Newt or Mitt sounds funny
  20. Quickly the wifi was disable per state rules. Which is why we can't have them use their cell phone dictionaries. No internet enabled devices allowed.
  21. The other issue is cutting and pasting. It is a pain in the neck. From what I am learning, tapatalk or new "flash-less" programming is the answer. I am starting to see where tablets really have advantages. I am currently trying to use this as much as possible. I am using an alarm clock function so it is charging by my bedside. email is decent, web browsing is good. Getting stuff in is a hassle, imnsho. I'd love a usb port to just shovel stuff in.
  22. And Dick, thank you for taking the time for a microanalyses of my post. I hope my later post was clear enough for you to understand my point. I also appreciate that while you believe I am trying to be a smart ass, you are trying for the opposite.
  23. Max, thank you for the better example. Bottom line, IMHO Coop probably was pushing Peavy, for his own good. Peavy may have been miffed at the time, but realizes that is what a coach has to do at times. Anyone that has been around sportsd for a while understands that.
  24. Sorry, I guess I cut the article too carelessly.
