  1. Great to watch a healthy Crede at the plate.
  2. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 04:37 PM) The capitol of Montana or the singer Hannah Montana? I was on a roll, and not a 13 year old female
  3. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 02:40 PM) Hockey in HD is just incredible. I can't wait for my stimulus check to go get an HDTV! It is the #1 reason to buy HD. HD was made for hockey, it may just be the single biggest boom to hockey in this country. Plus, the Hawks will actually be on TV. Not we don't have to hate them just in person . . .
  4. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 01:15 PM) I agree as long as spellin dont cont Jas' first post in Buster Welcome
  5. Well, that means officially, there is no rhyme or reason to his lineups
  6. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 11:54 AM) I clicked on the link and got a video of a polar bear swimming. Which is what the world with have with the Palistinians killing all the turtles
  7. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 11:05 AM) I'm going to drop in on Tex unannounced because I know he's got a case of Sam Adams to share. Just what we need around here, another old person Actually, in your honor, I'll pull something from the South Padre Brewing Company
  8. I'm going to buy a case of Sam and let them know why. If we want corporations to act in this manner, they need to know that consumers notice, care, and will buy more of their products.
  9. QUOTE(Alpha Dog @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 09:24 AM) Oh yes. I believe every bat-s*** crazy that thinks GWB is the devil would be out in force, the Anarchists, Free Gitmo people, Free Tibet, Free Hat, you name it. As for Tibet, I must admit I don't know as much about the situation as I would like. But while we are at it, how about Free Tiawan! Are you suggesting that you have to be bat-s*** crazy to protest against G-Dubya? Gitmo, is something that I think intelligent people, could, and should protest. And I believe it is Free Tiawan! With purchase!
  10. QUOTE(Alpha Dog @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 08:05 AM) I think the sarcasm one will nail alot of people, me included, as that form of humor comes all too easily in these type of discussions. However, I will do my best to comply. We can always just PM each other when that old posting of the green feeling comer over . . . Hell, my posts feature more green then a St. Patrick's Day party on the Southside.
  11. If you can't enjoy the home opener, 1st place, 4 game win street, then you're hopeless.
  12. Ahem, sorry. What a difference when you speak to someone with a little authority and common sense. But that rant was just what I needed at the moment.
  13. I have mixed feelings, I think SS hit the nail on the head, that we really should depoliticize the Olympics and hold the games and keep them above this sort of thing, at least as much as we can. Also, every country has someone who would protest something they have done/are doing/will do. No person, or country, is perfect. Having said that, as an American, freedom of speach is something I hold dear, so advocating others to STFU doesn't sit well either.
  14. We are one of the major breeding grounds for the Ridley sea turtle and take that responsibility very seriously around here. All dredging operations are required to have nets out in front to capture and release the turtles, we have regular beach patrols during breeding season to protect the nest, a very active Turtle center. And it's all worth it each summer when we have the releases and see them heading to the ocean.
  15. To summarize to this point, and someone jump in if I'm off base. Some negativity is fine, even welcome, but when it gets run into the ground and spills over into other threads, it's too much. Disagree with the statements, not the poster Be personable without taking anything personal, or making it personal Think before submitting, add something. (I believe the "I Agree" is a welcome post and does add validation) The emoticons and women are great
  16. Since there was no place this really fit, and it was something I needed to say, but y'all really do not need to read it, in fact you will find this has been a waste of 45 seconds of your life. But it will make me feel better that this is in a semi-public forum. f*** this mother f***ing university and their stupid f***ing requirements for simply registering for classes. Pardon my mother f***ing ass when I asked for an advisement appointment three f***ing weeks ago, and you could not get me in until April 22, which I thought was to release the f***ing hold so I could register for classes. But that's a different appointment and I should have called it "Assistance" instead of Advisment". So I'd advise you to stick this up your ass and I'll even assist, now I know the difference. And while I'm at it, f*** you for only offering a required course during the day when adults with responsibilities and mother f***ing jobs can't attend. So you finally offer it at night, I'm a dean's list senior that should be registering today, but instead I'm watching the f***ing class fill. 22 of 40 seats gone in 90 minutes. Helena Montana doesn't sell out that fast. And f*** you for not realizing person to person face time went out in the 1980s and we now have the internet and telephones that are effective communication devices. And since this appointment is little more than a f***ing sales call so you can tell me about your graduate program, save your breath to kiss my ass. And how is your day?
  17. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Apr 6, 2008 -> 02:39 PM) Now, that is just silly. Just about every talking head was wanting him to cut the Reverend adrift. Every pundit, and plenty of whispers from the Clinton campaign, wanted him to repudiate his relationship with the Reverend. truth is the first casualty of war, and presidential campaigns.
  18. Trade everyone while they are at an all-time high Great game to watch. I do not get to see many, and settled in with small expectations. Wow. This team looks good, but it is hard to look bad winning 13-2
  19. I'm the one downhill. My buddy spent years in television and know how to always have the better camera angle. No gorillas but did see a mountain lion, which was very cool. Big Bend National Park 2006. Great trip.
  20. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Apr 6, 2008 -> 10:42 AM) Coincidence. I'm sure some WS winners had 4-game losing streaks. Just because it didn't happen at the start of the season doesn't mean much. What should worry them more is how wretched Dontrelle looked yesterday. Even when he was throwing a no-hitter he looked like crap. If he can't be at least a competent innings-eater, that's big trouble, especially with the bullpen woes. Excellent analysis. That stat would be much more meaningful in football where 4 games is a bigger percentage of all the games played. Even in basketball and hockey, it would have slightly more meaning. I'd be interested if any team has avoided a 4 games losing streak and not won a WS.
  21. It's early, but I really think come early fall, this will still be a race.
  22. Just think, this was the team, along with Cleveland, who had many posters here believing we should throw in the towel for the season, trade every veteran, and wait until we "had a chance".
  23. After the Spring, I'm happy with BA as the 3/4 CF and actually would like to see him have opportunities to be successful. Increasing value in players is not a bad idea as long as it doesn't hurt the team. And it is great to see that Oz has some options there. In fact he has some options all around the field.
