Ahem, sorry. What a difference when you speak to someone with a little authority and common sense. But that rant was just what I needed at the moment.

I have mixed feelings, I think SS hit the nail on the head, that we really should depoliticize the Olympics and hold the games and keep them above this sort of thing, at least as much as we can. Also, every country has someone who would protest something they have done/are doing/will do. No person, or country, is perfect. Having said that, as an American, freedom of speach is something I hold dear, so advocating others to STFU doesn't sit well either.

We are one of the major breeding grounds for the Ridley sea turtle and take that responsibility very seriously around here. All dredging operations are required to have nets out in front to capture and release the turtles, we have regular beach patrols during breeding season to protect the nest, a very active Turtle center. And it's all worth it each summer when we have the releases and see them heading to the ocean.

To summarize to this point, and someone jump in if I'm off base. Some negativity is fine, even welcome, but when it gets run into the ground and spills over into other threads, it's too much. But it will make me feel better that this is in a semi-public forum. f*** this mother f***ing university and their stupid f***ing requirements for simply registering for classes. Pardon my mother f***ing ass when I asked for an advisement appointment three f***ing weeks ago, and you could not get me in until April 22, which I thought was to release the f***ing hold so I could register for classes. But that's a different appointment and I should have called it "Assistance" instead of Advisment". So I'd advise you to stick this up your ass and I'll even assist, now I know the difference. And while I'm at it, f*** you for only offering a required course during the day when adults with responsibilities and mother f***ing jobs can't attend. So you finally offer it at night, I'm a dean's list senior that should be registering today, but instead I'm watching the f***ing class fill. 22 of 40 seats gone in 90 minutes. Helena Montana doesn't sell out that fast. And f*** you for not realizing person to person face time went out in the 1980s and we now have the internet and telephones that are effective communication devices. And since this appointment is little more than a f***ing sales call so you can tell me about your graduate program, save your breath to kiss my ass. And how is your day?

After the Spring, I'm happy with BA as the 3/4 CF and actually would like to see him have opportunities to be successful. Increasing value in players is not a bad idea as long as it doesn't hurt the team. And it is great to see that Oz has some options there. In fact he has some options all around the field.

I understand things change when the team is doing well versus doing poorly, but look at the board over the off season, ZERO games played, and people were still negative. But I swear you could start a thread about the corn fields of Dekalb and three posts later there would be a Crede / Fields debate going.

Years ago, I wondered why a Sox forum would ban specific topics, like attendance or Mariotti. While attendance has not been a cantankerous issue here, there are many times I wish we would ban Crede/Fields threads and Mariotti myself. We have some people who come here to complain and some who come here to feel better about being a Sox fan. perhaps those two are at odds to each other and each need separate space.

The issue with these types of questions, is the reader has already answered them. If Obama was to answer them, for those that are glamoring the most for answers, there are only two types of answers possible. The answers they have already decided on, or lies. So unless his answers matched exactly what the audience already believes (which is to say the worse possible) they will dismiss what he has to say as lies.
