  3. QUOTE(sec159row2 @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 01:30 PM) my grandparents didn't come to this country till about 1910( and couldn't leave ellis island until they passed a language test)... should I pay for these "reparations"??? That's about the time my mom's family got here and my dad didn't get here until 1971, do I have to pay as well?
  4. Just tried to get in there Saturday and the earliest they can get me in on an emergency appointment is 8AM next Thursday. What's the f***ing point? I have a scheduled appointment 9 days later?! Some days I really hate doctors.
  5. QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 09:08 PM) LUCKY YOU If you saw the colors he bought, you wouldn't say that.
  6. QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 09:05 PM) I am sick and f***ing tired of them not being able to sweep a series this will be the seventh time this season that they have a chance to sweep and failed. Seven times by June 1st thats not good. I choose to look at it as 7 series won. Yeah, it gets frustrating, but I try to see something positive in it. I am probably no where near as pissed as the rest of the people here because I spent the last hour and a half on a paint run so I missed most of the game).
  7. QUOTE(mreye @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 04:53 PM) It's gotta be pretty moldy by now, huh? lol (ya got me there)
  8. I think the Indians are paying 600K for him.
  9. QUOTE(mreye @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 01:42 PM) Oh yeah, I forgot. Diet for the wedding. Sad part is that this is the same lunch I have been eating for about 2 years now. lol
  10. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 12:44 PM) I don't really like his attitude. He's been on the A's his whole career and they've always contended. Now, they hit their first rough season and he sounds like he's already got one foot out the door. , Mr. Chavez. I got the same impression from his comments.
  11. Baked tortilla chips and celery (already finished the sammich).
  12. It doesn't hurt at all (the wire is actually staying put, but I am afraid to finish my lunch though). No, he's the only ortho in his office. It's been one of those days.
  13. I was eating lunch and the bracket on my back molar just fell off. It didn't break, it just fell off. That really blows because now I will have to make an emergency appointment sometime in the next few days and the orthodontist isn't in today.

A close friend of min suffered from both eating disorders when she was a teen. My sister tried using laxatives, but I caught her and we (my mom and I) talked with her about it. She didn't talk to me for quite some time, but after she saw what it did to a friend of hers, she lost alot of her anger towards me.
  15. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 09:03 AM) 3 teams in Chicago? Mmmmkay. If they would bring one to the southside, it would be okay, but all three within miles of each other is silly.
  16. Can they PLEASE bring a team to my area?! While the Rosemont isn't that far, it is still far enough.
  17. Exhumation Of Emmitt Till Begins Exhumation Of Emmitt Till Begins FBI Reopens Investigation Into Chicago Teen's Death CHICAGO -- The exhumation of Emmett Till began Wednesday morning at the Burr Oak Cemetery in Alsip, according to FBI Chicago office spokesman Frank Bochte. The procedure could take from an hour to several days, depending on how well the casket and body have held together, Bochte said. Members of Till's family were at the scene and were to perform a memorial service before the exhumation, NBC5's Kim Vatis reported. "It's a sensitive thing," Bochte said. "We promised to do this in a dignified manner." SURVEY Do you think the exhumation of Emmett Till will provide any new leads into the investigation of his death? Yes No Results | Disclaimer The FBI is investigating the death of Till, a 14-year-old boy killed in Aug. 1955 in Money, Miss., reportedly because he whistled at a white woman. Chris Morris, executive director of the Cook County medical examiner's office, said last month that investigators had been contacted about the autopsy "a few months ago" and after the exhumation, Cook County Medical Examiner Edmund R. Donoghue would perform the autopsy. Donoghue said last month that he had three goals for the autopsy: to determine the cause of death; recover any bullets and identify the body. "We believe we can accomplish all of those goals," he said in May. FBI special agents from Jackson, Miss., along with local FBI agents are overseeing the exhumation, Vatis reported. The main reason for the exhumation is that the body recovered from the Tallahatchie River was never identified as being that of Till. During the murder trial of Roy Bryant and J.W. Milam, the defense was able to use that weakness to obtain their aquittal, Bochte said. Although those two men are dead, there are people still alive who could have been involved in Till's abduction, torture and slaying, Bochte said. If charges were to be filed, they would be issued from Mississippi, he said. Additional information provided by City News Service. **************************************************************** This is just a matter of blocks from me. I go down 123rd to get to the tri-state. Turns out that the exhumation was not too far from there (saw the police tape and the various police units inside and out of the cemetary).
  18. Ah, Those Irish Colleens! By Helen Walsh Folsom This is a book about various women through out the history of Ireland.
  19. QUOTE(kapkomet @ May 31, 2005 -> 01:00 PM) Nope. Acquittal means they're off. But, they're out of business anyway, so it doesn't matter much. Oh - I thought it was a guilty verdict that was over-turned. Wasn't sure how that worked.
  20. Sounds like bulls*** to me. They can be tried again, right?
  21. I know I will be attending at least 3 more games this season (one sometime this month if my mom and brother would pick the damned game already! and 2 with the Brain - one Mariners' game and one Royals game - only one because he isn't sure he can stomach that one much less shoot for more lol). Good to hear about the sell out yesterday.
  22. I had bad experiences with the buses (which is why I will only ride them about once a year), but never had a bad experience on the El.
