QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 11:13 AM) But if they go on a losing streak right now & the Sox win 60 before the break it's time for the fat lady. When it is time, what will my mom have to do then? Mom - I am just kidding!!! (Actually Mom has lost a decent amount of weight the last few years so kudos to Mom.)

When I was in college, I went there a few times. Nice place. For eats though, I prefer Illinois Bar and Grill (across the street or something like that). The hamburgers there are HUGE.

Thier song "Black Water" is one of my favorites.

I am so glad that I don't give a damn what that dude thinks.

I had gold and blue for my HS colors. College - not sure, I think it is red, while and blue if the logo uses the school colors.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 02:24 PM) In my neighborhood there are tons of eateries and bars and only ONE tavern. Guess which one has the red faced alcoholics hanging out outside it's door, or alseep on the ground outside, or at bus stop just outside, or begging people for money when they walk by, or urinating in broad daylight? Wrigley?

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 01:40 PM) Oh my God...sorry to be off topib but you've actually heard of Manhattan, IL. ::faints:: (its my home town) Brian's friend (one of our groomsmen) lives there. Been out there once and really liked it. -
Something like that happened at the bar down the street my parents used to go to (they wouldn't even drink alcohol due to their diabetes, but they liked hanging out with friends and each other). That bar was sold and is now aimed at 20-30 year olds.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 12:40 PM) They came back from like an 8-run deficit three games in a row against the Angels. The one I mentioned was on a Friday (that much I can remember lol).

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 12:36 PM) ..Gagne is another one.... and look at him now. He used to be a goon in hockey. I think he is naturally a muscled guy (had to becareful how I worded that).

There was a game (I think September 2000) where the Sox were down something like 8-1 to the Angels. They came back in the 8th and won the game! I like the others in the list as well.

Happy bday!!!

Ditto. I stopped by my parents house Sunday morning after Church and my stopped in the middle of our conversation and says, "I have to check and see if I was dreaming during baseball tonight - I thought they said the Sox were 6.5 up." I told her while she was flipping through the paper that was correct, no dreaming, the Twinks lost 7-2 to the Pads." Mom was happy lol.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 11:35 AM) August 5th is also Elvis Night. It will be full. Exactly why I am sending my check in the morning!

I got the email this morning and will be sending my check out tomorrow morning. Brian and I will be there - me in my Sox jersey and hat and him in his Mariners jersey and hat.

QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 11:01 AM) It's easy for us to look at the replay & say he made the wrong call but try to imagine what it's like to make it life behind the bag. You've got the best base runner in the game within inches of the bag & a 2B who looks like he's being pulled off the bag by the throw. Your eyes have to dart between Kent's foot & Pods foot to decide the race. The tie always goes to the runner. I think I would have made the call in Pods favor as well. It's a very tough call to make live. It was a tough call that was made more difficult when Hee Sop Choi distracted both the the guy covering and the ump.

While I am a chick, shoes don't do anythinf for me - but when it comes to shoes, the soles have to have detached from the shoe before I will throw them away. I bought a pair of gym shoes about 6 months ago but I still have the old pair that I replaced them with (I use them when I go to the junk yard with Brian). When it comes to spending money on stuff that just sits there it would be either candles or hamsters. I also have a habit of buying action figures. While I will display them, all they do is sit there and get dusty (Nosfaratu (sp?), Lon Chaney's Phantom of the Opera, etc). Just kidding on the hamsters lol.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 09:27 PM) Just drop it, man. Enjoy the win. -
QUOTE(greg775 @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 09:03 PM) Queen it was in the postgame show because they had 15 minutes to kill so we got to see Oz interview. It was funny. Gracias! I was talking to my brother on the phone about the game (he was getting ready to hit the bars for his bday so it was a long conversation but it was during post game lol).
