I don't know, maybe it is a male thing. I just don't see what dignity there is in kicking someone's ass because they said your team sucks (in much harsher words lol). Like I said, my Brain is exactly the same way so I know where you are coming from, I just don't necessarily agree with it.

Glad to hear you are okay Jim.

To see players that really give a s*** minors is the way to go. The guys at the ECHL level are balls out ever night and they go out of their way to go to fan functions. RIP CYCLONES!! (I hope they come back in some level of hockey somewhere...) -

Must be an Irish male thing. My fiance is just as bad. Yes, my first instinct (and has been in the past) is to get security. Like I said, maybe it's a chick thing to not want to fight, I don't know.

I think I just found out where my back up vacation is going to be... -
It's still words. No reason to throw a chair at someone because of words. Maybe women just have cooler heads about these things.

It depresses the hell outta me and f***s up my vacation - good thing we waiting until this became official. We will just travel to see some of our favorite minor league teams as well as a few others. -
That's no reason to attack. Call security. If they don't catch the guy/gal, have the home team pay for the stolen item.

I can't even count the times Brain or I have been on the Dan Ryan and have either had a bike pass us at ridiculous speeds or seeing them in the opposite lanes going at ridiculous speeds. I am grateful that riding a bike is one thing that Brain won't do. He said working at Christ for several years (mostly on weekends from junior year of HS until he was about 20 or 22) allowed him to see what can happen when you ride. (Not necessarily always because of the bike rider, but he said majority of the time it was their fault, from what he would hear.) -
CTA Stops Trains To Conduct Terror Threat Searches I was talking to a customer a couple weeks ago and he was telling me about his latest trip to Chicago. He was taking the 'L' to a sox game (that's right SOX not CUBS) and told me about that happening. I honestly thought he must have been halucinating, on crack or something like that because I had never heard of this happening (and my parents take the L at different times twice a day). He said after that L ride he was convinced that Chicago must have the safest L system in the country.

This is sad and sickening at the same time... CHICAGO -- State police said a motorcyclist driving at speeds above 100 mph lost control of his bike and was killed in a violent crash late Monday, leading to an hours-long shutdown of the northbound Stevenson Expressway near the Archer Avenue overpass. Images: Biker Killed It was the second fatal motorcycle accident on an area expressway in the past month. NBC5's Kim Vatis identified the dead man as Ralph Storino, 34, of the western suburbs. Storino was reportedly riding with a group of friends when he struck the barrier wall near the Archer Avenue overpass around 10:40 p.m. Monday, police said. Northbound lanes were shut down, and it took three hours to clean up the wreckage, until around 2 a.m. "His body was thrown into the air, and police said even his torso was not intact afterward," Vatis said of the violent crash. "Although he was wearing a helmet, he was driving so fast it made no difference." Parts of the motorcycle were strewn across the ramp from the Stevenson to the southbound Dan Ryan Expressway Stevenson and onto the ramp, a state trooper said. "Truckers in the area at the time said they were radioing each other to warn about the pack of motorcyclists who were going so fast," Vatis said. Trucker David Smith said drivers were warning each other about the speeds at which the bikers were traveling. "Coming up 55, drivers were saying they were in excess of 100, 130," Smith said. State trooper Rich Decker said the bikers are inviting a tragedy to occur. "The speeds are getting ridiculous. These crotch-rocket clubs run up and down the Interstate like it's their own personal racetrack," according to Decker. "These guys come out on the bikes and travel 100, 125 mph, and you lose control out here, especially with other traffic in the area." Just a couple of weeks ago, a similar accident killed a biker riding more than 100 mph with a group. After crashing, he got caught in a wheel and run over, Vatis said. "Storino's family said he had just taken a safety course," Vatis said.

When I get to the 4th disk and it is just about done (there are 5 disks and a play disk) I get a critical error saying it can't read a file on the CD. I tried cleaning and still have the same problem. Last time this happened it turned out there was an error in their file and there was a fix you had to do just to install the bloody thing on an XP computer. What is the deal with games in the last year or so. Every one of the war games (he is using some sort of a mod to make it a WWII game) he has bought in the last year have had issues installing... GRRRRRRRRRR!

From what they said on the radio, they have no intentions of renewing it either. I hope the radio was full of it this morning because they do need to renew it.

Actually Ford has been working on it. Either this fall or next they are supposed to have 2 green cars released - the Explorer and I forget which is the other one. Hell, my 6 cylinder cougar (w/ 60K miles on it) gets about 25 MPG.

One of the ladies I work with was talking about this. Must be nice to be able to do that for people. (Seriously, not being a smartass here.)

When I asked Brain if he wanted to go, I got the same damned answer, practically word for word.

My sister and I set the date for taking my nephew apple picking and making a pumpkin patch along the way or back. I found a good site listing apple orchards around the state: Applicious! I was also tickled pink that I found the orchard on there that I went to about 10 years ago (or so). It was a wonderful little orchard with very pleasant people who owned/farmed it. Shocked to find it, much less on the web. On the corner from there is a farm stand (in a house on that farm) that has some of the most wonderful spices, honey, pumpkins and fall decorations. Fall.....YES!
