    Virus

Either I am popular (and never knew it) or I pissed off a customer somewhere along the line... At work we use postini to catch virus emails and in the last week Postini must have caught between 20 and 30 emails with viruses. Before this time period, if I received 2 that would be a high estimate. Anyone else receive a high number of infected emails?
  2. I don't know what Kerry said, but I think the quote being discussed was made by Bush...
  3. Brando and jeremy are one and the same?! (Or did he just use the name from the other site...)
  4. Welcome! It's good to add another female to the ranks here.
  5. Good question. Another question is why did someone vote for Thomas? People are complaining that Rowand hasn't played enough, so how could Thomas have played enough to be considered? Inspite of that, to each their own I say!
  6. It's a horrible mistake, but with all the testing that gets done once you are diagnosed, I am surprised the mistake wasn't caught earlier.
  7. For me it is a toss up between Rowand and Konerko. I gave Rowand my vote.
  8. WooHoo Burke got a single! (Sorry, it's been awhile since I noticed him in the lineup, bear with me lol.)
  9. Will FSN show this game tonight or is it on WGN/UPN right now?
  10. 3 up, 3 down. We go to the top of the second, 0 - 0.

  12. This goes to all: cut the name calling now. If there is one more naming calling, this thread will be closed. Can it now.
  13. That's it exactly - street racing (or that term I should say) is generally applied, in Chicago anyway, to drag racing.
  14. Street racing is generally done in desolate areas, but I agree that it shouldn't be glamourized. The only way they (racers) stop or stick to desolate areas are either after they are caught (Brainage) or they hurt themselves (or not as often, others). I've been a couple times and the second time I was with Brain and his buddy, in his buddy's beat up Tempo. The cops rousted everyone, but didn't arrest anyone. The numbers of people there absolutely amazed me.

    New House

Congrats and good luck! We finished rebuilding about 9 months ago and while most things are completed, we still have the paper shades we bought from Home Depot up and we were supposed to by the storm doors last weekend lol.
  16. My boy did damn well too! I like the tweak he got in against the "young guns." The guy was talking to the first three and they were all panting and Jr went on about how that green flag run took a lot out of him and he bets all the drivers were worn out and when the guy talks to Jeff B he takes a sip of his Coke and says he wants to thank his trainer and that he was ready to go out and run another 500 and walks away. Looking at him (no panting, not even red) it was believeable. I think it was pointed at Roush and the "sponsor" for next year for the 99 -> it came out ( as Confederate mentioned) that they though Jeff was too old. me -> -> Jeff (for the calm comment and that while he thought his finish was good, it still wasn't where he wanted to be)
  17. Per NASCAR.com -> TNT 6 PM CDT NASCAR.COM
  18. Not that this has anything to do with anything but, Queen did an awesome song with this title ("Love of My Life"). Also, as long as I am on the subject of 'nothing that has to do with anything,' SBC SUCKS!!!! Problem is there isn't any other reliable services offered in my area (that I know of lol).
  19. My boss and my FBIL are huge DJ fans. My boss and I usually end up having a good race conversation on Mondays. DJ is cool and I will cheer for him. Mark Martin is a great guy and racer. His comments about Jeff B show the kind of man he his - one that stands by his word and his friends (he said that he will miss him as a teammate and when Jeff moved to RCR he realized that it wasn't just about the two of them being teammates, bu that they had a strong friendship as well). I have an SI from 99 that has a bunch of articles about Jeff, Mark and Roush racing, oh and DJ is on the front with David Pearson .
  20. I knew what ya meant. Personally, I have had my fill of 'the young guns.' I would love to see the vets dominate again. Jeff Gordon is about 33, Stewart is 33 and Jr is turning 30 in Oct and they are doing well (not that I am a fan of the three lol) so there is hope for 'vets' I guess.
  21. Younger driver?! Jeff is all of 37 (about 4 yrs older than Matt). It is a good thing that Jeff left, it is just that things are coming out that Roush wasn't as much a nice guy as both were posturing. Jeff had been struggling because he was running experimental crap (and that was what most of it was - crap) and he was saddled with a crew chief who has little to no experience at it. Jeff ended up call the shots from the car because every time Osbourne did something, he'd make the car worse. Bob did get better by the end, but it still wasn't good enough. In any sense, I am glad they both got what they wanted, but I can't say I respect Roush in any way. His drivers, though, I like them all, except Biffle .
  22. You would like my pantry then - dew's been on sale at Jewel so I have about 8 24 oz 6-packs in there.
