  1. When one door closes, another opens. It does seem to be getting to a point for him that he should be calling it a career, but once that door does close, I hope the Sox open a coaching door for him. to Sandy!
  2. My doc is pretty cool. Now as for the one receptionist...whatta b****. I hate it when I walk in and see her - I know I will get 'tude from her.
  3. Yeah way south TX around Brownsville. I had a customer call from that location a few weeks back...very interesting people there. There was a City Confidential (A&E show) about a murder in the brownsville area - my company also has a warehouse outfit there and the mfg is on the Matamoros side...
  4. I didn't believe he was guilty last time. But that's taking into consideration I was only 13 or 14 (or something like that) and only heard snipits of testimony.
  5. Considering none of them went to the cops and are suing civilally (rather than criminal), I am not sure how much I believe them myself. But I am not on the jury, nor am I a judge so my opinion in this matters little.
  6. Fatfree turkey sammich w/ baked tortilla chips and a DC at my desk trying to get through a pile of work. I really f***ing hate my job...almost quit about 30 minutes ago. Thinking maybe I should have kept walking when I started towards the door.
  7. The hockey player that chased after SS2k4 and kapkomet after they taunted him.
  8. No kidding. Thanks, but I will stick with AHL and ECHL teams. Maybe the WHA if any of the teams are close enough. And of course we will be going to Komets and K-Wing games time permitting.
  9. That is an awesome smiley! That is also my favorite Saturday morning past time - coffee and a book or coffee and a newspaper.
  10. When I read the first line of your topic title I thought this was going to be a discussion of democratic or republican conventions.
  11. The sox are losing because they are going bald?!
  12. I think they both have standard filters (I am guessing this is different from a sand filter). I know both have the filter pumps...are they two different types of filters?
  13. A friend of ours does as does my aunt.
  14. It's expected. Considering what my relatives are paying in Ireland and England, I can't complain too much I guess. Or if I do, not when my dad is around (I always get the in Ireland they have been paying...).
  15. He's okay, but I wouldn't go so far as to say dreamy. But then again I find Arturs Irbe, Sean Hill (was a Canes hockey player), Jeff Burton and Jaime Burke attractive so I think you might want to take my opinion on this with a grain of salt.
  16. Illinois Marine ships out; Wife expecting quintuplets From ABC7 news: Illinois Marine ships out; Wife expecting quintuplets By Leah Hope August 2, 2004 (Oswego, IL) — Another Illinois Marine will be returning to Iraq while his wife is getting ready to deliver quintuplets! Josh and Tanauncy Horton live in Oswego, southwest of Chicago. The challenge she now faces is giving birth to five babies while her husband is overseas. Everything takes a bit more energy these days. For one thing: Taunacy Horton is alone with her kids while her husband prepares to be deployed to Iraq. The other thing: five others actually. She's expecting quintuplets. "We you think of multiples, twins, triplets, we never thought five, that was a real shock," Taunacy Horton said. Taunacy and Josh met when they were both in active duty. Josh is now a police officer in Aurora. Taunacy - a stay at home mom. She says they've made several difficult decisions recently - the first was deciding to try to carry the five. Then Josh's reservist unit was activated. The marines offered him an out, but he wanted to go and she supported his decision. i would have been so easy to say i need you here...that was really hard for me. Only fifteen weeks into her pregnancy, she says feels like she's at thirty weeks for a single pregnancy. She says it's hard to breathe, sleep and eat. Unaccustomed to accepting help, this very pregnant mom has changed. "I'll help somebody in a second but it's a test of my faith to let other people help me." Family and friends have secured donations for the Hortons of things like fomula and diapers, but what they really need is a new place to live. The family currently lives in a three bedroom townhome with barely enough room for four and definitely not enough room for a family of nine. The kids are doing what they can to help mom. Taunacy says she can't think too much about what's in store, because it can be overwhelming. For now, she's trying to prepare herself and her kids for Josh's deployment, and they're all taking it one day at a time. Josh Horton returns home on Saturday from training for a week-long visit with the family, then he'll leave for Iraq with his unit. ******************************************************************* That's one big family! Prayers that the babies are delivered healthy and mom recovers smoothly (when that time comes).
  17. They offered a one on one type thing, but the priest said that the group setting is better (read: easier to get through, or at least that is how we took it).
  18. Exactly! The funny part is the priest started asking some of them. First was "Who will handle the checkbook?" We look at each other and Brian says "she does." The next one was, "What would you do if your spouse cheated on you?" Brian was about to say, dig a hole and throw her in, but he was afraid the priest wouldn't see the humor in it (that's what he and his brother kept saying they were going to do to Brian's ex-SIL). I told Brian if he cheated, I get custody of the Mercurys. That'll keep him in line!
