This sounds good. I wonder if I can convince Brainage to go against me again. The last time we played a NASCAR game, I beat him so bad he gave up half way through and started driving the wrong way around the track. If nothing else, I got a good laugh out of it.

Just saw this - I like Law and Order. I like the first two seasons of West Wing, but it has gotten dull (when the original writers left). I like CSI Miami, but not because it is a great show, but because it is hokey and I get a kick out of making fun of Horatio (can't remember the actor's name). He must have went to the William Shatner school of acting. But most of my TV watching revolves around sports, A&E, discovery and food channels. Oh and the occasional show on the History channel.

I have my typical fat free chicken sammich, bag of chopped celery and carrots, bag of baked tortilla chips and a Diet Coke on the menu for me. Considering how I feel, not sure how much of it I will eat though. :puke

Considering a million people are being evacuated, I am not surprised. More than likely, there is no one to bring it in and a bunch of people looking to buy.

I would be more than willing. How would we go about organizing such a thing?

I'm trying to get the company to do something in regards to raising funds, food or clothing, but I am willing to bet they won't do anything. One way or another I figured it couldn't hurt to try.

This thread is brought to you by a discussion on 97.9 and things I hear from Brainage and his fellow gearheads. Does your significant other give you a hard time about being a gearhead or tell you what you can and can't have (in terms of cars and things to put on them such as blowers and NOS kits and such)? On 97.9 they were talking about how wives and/or girlfriends give men a hard time about cars and working on them and/or buying them. Just a couple weeks ago a friend of ours was telling us that his live-in-lady told him he could only have one car besides his everyday driver. I don't get that. I wouldn't say that to Brainage because one, he would go out of his way to buy something else. Sort of like when I am driving and he tells me to hurry up so of course that means I slow down to 20 MPH (when no one is around or we are on a side street of course). Another friend of theirs was forced to sell their dragster (it was a 10 second car) and was not allowed (and yes, this is the word that was used) so they could by a family car. So my question is this, as long as the bills are paid, a roof over you, food on the table and clothes on your back, why do women give men a hard time about this? I guess it confuses me because my mom never hassled my dad when he would tinker with the family car (he and his buddy did some whacked out stuff to the old 78/79 Fairmont station wagon) and I have never even thought of hassling Brain as I like his cars and have actually worked on them with him. (My part is the wiring - hey, I had to get some use out of my degree besides a paycheck. )

Prayers go to people in Florida. We have many distributors that were hit hard by Charley so I don't know what is going to happen to them after this one.

Yeah, I've been following that storm as well and it looks to be one nasty storm. Especially right after Charley, Florida is going to suffer terribly if it does reach landfall with as much power as it is currently packing, or worse more power...

To be perfectly honest, this presidential campaign is much like the last campaign for Gov in IL was to me: I couldn't stand either candidate so I voted for someone else that was listed (can't remember who, just wanted to make sure my vote didn't go to the dips***s nominated by the dem or rep parties).

DAMN IT! I forgot all about it. I watched A&E after my aunt and I got back from our walk to the car show (at Frosted Mug on Pulaski).
