I just don't understand the point of those ads. The only ones that will clearly see them are the players and the umps. Fans at home might if a camera closes up on one of them, but other than that, how effective will it be at that time? Obviously it's getting a lot of press now, but what about then?

I am seriously curious what the answer would be. I went to a Catholic HS (Maria) and I remember that in one of my classes, there were more non-Catholics than Catholics (a few Islamics, and I think the rest were of various Christian faiths), but am asking just how Catholics/Christians would feel if the tables were turned...

Let's turn this around briefly (just cuz I am curious to the answer). Say there are a majority of Muslims (that follow the Islamic religion) in a given class. Would you be comfortable praying to their 'God' or having your kids pray to their 'God?'

Why do people say 'God-fearing Christian?' Why should I fear God? That is a part of Catholicism that I have never been able to comprehend (even when I was a practicing Catholic, I never understood this)...

Which is why I call for a silent prayer time - then kids can pray to the God of their choice and the atheist children could think about whatever they choose...

Lon Chaney is his 'Phantom of the Opera' makeup. I have a couple, but for some reason, this one makes me laugh so I am using that one for now.

A general response (not to anyone or their post inparticular): There are too many religions in this country to force them to pray to a particular 'God.' If there were silent prayer time in the beginning of the school day (as in pray to the God of your choice), I don't see a problem with that. But, I do have a problem with students being forced to pray to a particular 'God.'

As long as they're predicting the future, can they tell me when Brian will find a job?
