As to the list Apu posted, it brought up a couple questions I had about the stills (I had these questions before the detaining information came out). One was the orange jumpsuit and the other was about the difference in appearance. The appearance could be from lack of shaving/eating while detained (by the US and Al-Qaida). In the long run, it doesn't matter because it won't change that this kid died so viciously.

It's not just at 'The Cell.' I've encountered problems at hockey games in Peoria and at the Wolves games. Thankfully, it's few and far between, but it is ALWAYS the same type - people who drank way too much and don't know when to shut up.

Hope you recover. Sounds like the usher that was in the section where I sat last year. Luckily we didn't get beat up by anyone, but we were harrassed by the usher through the entire game and the the kids that were in their late teens that sat in seats that weren't theirs (they had no problem announcing that to all in our section) didn't have to show their stub to him once. Please do write to security at the park and note the section you were in - the usher should be at least suspended.

I don't know. I think the US went into this without a full understanding of the culture or training of the prison guard-soldiers. Being that the assassins were supposedly Al-Queda, they might not have been true Iraqis.

LMAO! I was talking to my brother last night and that was one of the topics of conversation.

I don't understand why they needed to release the video of this. The stills were hard enough to look at. It is disgusting the pictures they released of the family breaking down in grief. Let them grieve in peace. This 'thing' has disgusted and shaken me more than I ever expected. When I went to the lunchroom and the the kid's picture was on the front page it had me sobbing again. He looks so much like my brother...but even if he didn't, I would still be sobbing. I can't understand the mentality of doing that to another person. The thing that scares the most is that chances are, this is only the beginning. Prayers and strength go to him and his family. No one should have to endure that.

I've been trying to figure that out myself. I am sure if I showed up at a Cubs game (when the Sox weren't playing them) in my Sox garb, I would be harassed to no end (and I would deserve it). Since I would avoid stepping foot in Wrigley with all my being, this will not be a problem for me.

Either I was more of a square than I thought I was or things have changed tons in the last 15 years. The guys talked about it regularly in 7th and 8th grade, but most of the girls didn't. Almost makes me rethink wanting kids.

I saw 'Van Helsing' on Saturday. Overall, a good moving, but the ending kind of ticked me off. 'Day After Tomorrow' (I think that's the name) and a couple other movies that I can't think of at the moment are movies that I plan on seeing.
