My family was within days of being homeless back in 1982. My dad was laid off from US Steel in 1981 and there wasn't much in the way of work to be found. My dad did as much side work and odd jobs as he could to keep the family afloat. My grandparents here would never allow us to live on the streets. My grandparents in Ireland offered to pay for plane tickets to Ireland and give my dad the family farm. We were lucky that we had a supportive family on both sides, not all families are.

Okay, mostly true, but had to add to retorts. My mother has several times (usually it was Gramma reminding her, not my dad. I said this (Brian uses this as one of his bragging points to his friends). No comment. . I do this all the time (actually he'll tell me what the caller ID says and I tell him to ignore it lol). The only dress I am willing to spend more than $40 or $50 on is my wedding dress and with the turn of events, it might be only $40 or $50.

Jeff actually has no accent...now Ward...he sounds like whatshisface from Slingblade (which is why I call Ward that). I guess the ongoing joke that Jeff tells is that Ward came from the southern end of the house.

I appear to be the only 'yes' so far. While I don't mind debate, it seems that they are the same threads over and over again involving the same name calling bulls***. Just because you may not agree with someone else here does not give you the right to slander the other person (considering the name calling is between people that have never met, there is a great deal of chance that it is slander and not fact). I am not saying lock them up and never allow them again, but I do think there needs to be a break of sorts for at least a short period of time.

I don't generally buy from vendors, nothing against them, but there only seem to be beer and margarita vendors near where I sit and an occasional hot dog vendor. My purchases are done in the beginning of the game - 1 bottle of Diet Pepsi (if Brian is with, a bottle of Mountain Dew) and a brat or a kosher dog (Brian usually gets a brat or a hotdog).

Hopefully the Sox will be running on all cylinders soon. One night the offense is there, one night the pitching is there, but it has been rare to have both on during one game.

I hope the offense is prepared to wake up with a vengence for the rest of this game...
