  1. No, the first one - just setting things in motion.
  2. Yes, I remember that - very good show.
  3. Exactly how I came to my beliefs - evolution started off by the Supreme Being of my choice. In an overly simplistic explanation of what I believe, it's sort of along the lines of baking a cake. In crude forms it starts out as eggs grain (flour), sugar, etc. Sit them on the table for as long as you like and nothing is going to happen. Add a person and an oven and evutually you will have a cake (or a mess lol). You need something as a catalyst for the whole thing - this is where I think God came in the picture. He started the process known as evolution, or so my theory goes. I admit, I stole that from a teacher I had in grammar school. Grammar school teachers....YES! (had to work the White Sox in there somehow)
  4. The radio said it was private funds.
  5. It is tested regularly - genetics, fossils, etc. Methinks I misunderstood something along the way...
  6. I'm considered a 'young professional' (and damn, I hate that term) and I work in Rolling Ghettos and still manage to make a game or 7 during the season. Oh and no, I am not a yuppie - more a hill-wilima to tell the truth lol. So Moronotti can shove that argument where the sun don't shine!
  7. Actually the evolution theory is that monkeys and humans are decended from the same 'line' so to speak. Not that humans are decended from monkeys. And for whatever it's worth, I do believe in evolution. But I do think God started the whole thing so I guess what I believe is that they are inter-related...
  8. Exactly! I am more interested in their research before starting this trek, the methods used while in the field and what they find (as in relics, fossils, if anything).
  9. LOL! I was thinking exactly this! Major Leagues
  10. I wonder how quickly she'll gain it back after getting off the diet, or is this a 'rest of your life' kind of diet?
  11. Sounds interesting - wonder if there will be a special on Discovery about the quest afterwards... There was a show on Discovery about the search for the Ark, but this was a couple years ago.
  12. Hey, If I was willing to drive 4-5 hrs for minor league hockey, you can do it for the Sox!
  13. Thanks - now I am at my desk crying. (not being a smartass, that quote is a great one.) It is true - she brought me joy, I just hope I did the same for her.
  14. My second hamster was named cocoa. He was one cool little dude. RIP Cocoa...

    5000 Posts!

    Congrats Dbaho!
  16. You said it sister. It's also time for women to not allow themselves to be degraded.
  17. Thanks all - Stinkus was a she. We tried to get another female hamster to replace, but the pet store seemed to only have males and the one put on a show for us so we took him home.

    RIP Stinkus

My oldest hamster died yesterday while I was at work. Brian said she was putzing around at about 3 and had a snack. She was in a sleeping position when I found her. I hate the guilt that follows it. We bought a new one last night and that little dude won't sleep - but that is normal for hamsters when they are getting used to their new surroundings. RIP Stinkus! Say 'Hi!' to Stinky Butt I for me, will ya?
  19. She died in September 21, 1998 in Mission Viejo, California. Flo Jo
  20. Today is not a good day for the White Sox is it? Good thing they are off! haha
  21. I have this thing where I read for about 30 mins to an hour before going to sleep. It helps me to sleep better. Plus I read on my lunch hour, that is if I am not posting here.
  22. I understand the need for the rule, but it isn't working as well as I had hoped. Most races this year have finished with about 15 (and in some cases less) cars on the lead lap because it is so tough to get a lap back now. I agree that races need to finish under the green. This caution lap crap has got to go - they also need to get the track cleaned quicker. The caution with 20 laps to go was a perfect example of NASCAR taking WAY too long to clear the track and get back under green. Forgot this vent earlier: Waltrip - :fyou - learn to drive you numb nut!
