The food on our first date was good...then again it was hamburgers, can't mess those up too terribly. On the other hand maybe it was more the company than the food itself...

Brian and I both went to Catholic school K-12. I was the mousy sort so I rarely got in trouble. Brian got whacked a few times across the back of the head in grammar school (which explains a lot - lol).

Eh, it's 5 minutes from home (I don't think his mom wanted to drive far and she is afraid to get in the car with him). Brian and I had our first date at the Applebee's there...went back a few times and the food has gotten REALLY bad.

The one I was talking about is in Crestwood. Then again, most of the restaurants in that immediate area seem to suck.

So that's what the dj on 'The Drive' was blathering on about yesterday.

Brian went to Pizzeria Uno with his mom once a few years back when she came in to visit (she was living in Toledo at the time). He said it was the worst food that ever passed his lips, and trust me that is saying a lot (not a dig at my cooking - he gained about 40 lbs from cooking - 40 lbs that he really needed - he's 6'2 and weighed about 140 when I met him). I never have gone to a Pizzeria Uno and don't plan on it while in Chicago (for the same reason I would never go to a Chi-Chis's - why get imitation when you can get the real thing down the street! ).

Mine would be a mix of Queen, Metallica and AC/DC. At this point, and I had to chose, my all-time favorite would be either 'News of the Day' or 'A Kind of Magic.'

I was talking last night with my aunt and uncle that came in from Ireland and she was saying how back home that no one likes Bush and everyone liked Clinton (like she said, the work he did in trying to unite the North and the South is what influenced them). She was surprised when she would call overseas how it was a mixed bag with Clinton.

Haven't yet, but plan to this year once the Democratic Nominee has been decided on...
