The weathermen can't make up their freakin' minds: Cook County Winter Weather Advisory Winter Weather Advisory: Issued at: 11:31 AM CST 2/5/04, expires at: 5:15 PM CST 2/5/04 Winter weather advisory in effect until 9 am cst (10 am est) friday, The NWS in chicago has issued a winter weather advisory. Snow will develop across the region this afternoon and continue into friday morning. The heaviest precipitation will occur from late afternoon through midnight. Along and north of a gary indiana, peotone, pontiac line, 3 to 5 inches of total snow accumulation is expected. South of this line, 2 to 4 inches of snow is expected before mixing with, and possibly changing to sleet and freezing rain. Significant ice accumulations are not expected at this time. Roads, bridges and overpasses in the advisory area will become slick and hazardous. Accumulation of snow or ice on roadways, bridges and overpasses will make travel treacherous. Exercise caution if travel is necessary. Listen to noaa weather radio or commercial radio or television for the latest information concerning this potentially deadly winter weather situation.

To be truthful, I'm a little jealous. I miss the big snow falls. Oh freakin' well, it's not like I thought the weathermen were actually going to get this one right.

That rule that non-testimonial evidence must be taken during day light hours is strange to me. I want to know more about the bloody t-shirt mentioned. (ie - how bloody, where was the blood, were there tears, etc.)

It was talked about before, but the last report I remember was that he would travel with the team, nothing about allowing him to miss home starts. Then again I might have missed something in the life of that thread.

I don't understand how he is eliglible for the draft - the ruling didn't make much sense to me. If this is the case, then CBAs seem to be almost meaningless.

I gotta agree with this. Maggs' laziness reaches over into his baserunning as well. I can't remember the last time I had seen so much stupidity while running the bases.

I understand why he wants these provisions, but it really isn't fair to the team, especially the pitching staff.

My question is that if it did cost him his job, why is he still here? Also, all this double talk concerning Thomas's contract (JR telling FR to not sign it) sounds rather outlandish to me, but then again this is the White Sox Organization we are speaking of...

It sucks that it will start during rush hour tonight - I have a dinner to go to that I don't want to be late to - my aunt and uncle are here on a surprise visit from Ireland and they will be leaving (assuming their flight isn't canceled) tomorrow - it was a trip that my cousin put together for them.

Sunday is the All-Star game. I am not too interested in seeing the game, but I would like to see the skills contests.

I thought it was Frank's agent that said he had offers from LA when he was testing the FA market a little while ago. At least it is something that was repeated by Ncorgbl on a couple boards.

I have a bachelor's and thought about a masters, but it isn't worth the effort at this time. Maybe I'll got for an MBA, but a masters in electrical engineering is pretty much no longer in the cards for me. EDIT: Forgot - Congratulations!

That's a wonderful story.

That is the best part - after the prove or disprove the myth. Then they do everything they can to blow or destroy or do whatever the myth says is supposed to happen. The airplane was a great example of this!
