I don't think it sunk in for Brian right away. It did for me, but it wasn't my place to bring it up. I do think Brian is planning on asking them why they don't want to go though, or at least that was the impression he left me with this morning. Like I said, overall, I don't care that much, I just don't like it because it is bothering Brian. They are supposed to be our friends and they know that we don't care if they bring a gift, we want them there to share a meal and celebrate with us. If that is too hard for them, their loss, our gain.

To be honest, I think they don't like me too much, but that's their problem not mine, not Brian's. There have been several things that have happened that gave me this impression, which is strange because I've never had a problem with them.

A couple that Brian and I are friends with came by Monday evening and we were talking about our wedding. They first said to not invite them and then something about a secondary list (anyone know what a secondary list is). To be honest, it didn't bother me in the least since we weren't invited to their wedding (they had only family and people that stood up in the wedding) It is apparently bothering Brian enough to bring it up today (first time he and I had a chance to talk since then). He is trying to come up with a reason for them to say what they did, but, I can tell it really hurt him (he has been friends with them for about 15 years or so). Would you be bothered by these comments?

Over all I am not a big GM fan, I prefer Fords, but if one of them have one of those new GTOs, I might be able to make an exception.

We didn't have prom king or queen at mine (it wasn't run really well...they didn't serve the food until 8:30 and that left about 45 minutes for dancing).

Popularity contests suck (I probably think that because I've never won one).

Yeah - it's part of the engagement ring (I have a picture, albeit, not the best, at home - I'll post it tonight). I have to have the two pieces soldered together before the wedding (got plenty of time before I do that).
-
No actually there is an accompaniment for my engagement ring - it has 8 small diamonds and 4 saphires - I think it is also called an accent ring. The wedding bands are going to be Gaelic wedding bands.
-
Does it mention which four teams?
-
My engagement ring - the main ring (there's an accompaniment ring as well) is a half carat and that is more than enough for me. I've never been able to see beauty in gargantuan sized diamond rings, but that is just my humble opinion. I'm not a big garnet fan, but if that is her birthstone, I think she will love it. For valentine's day Brian gave me a white gold chain with a blue topaz pendant - topaz is the birthstone of the best birthday month (I hate yellow topaz so that is why he went with blue).

They will probably take turns manning first. I am sure we will pick up a utility infielder by the beginning of spring training...just not sure how good the pick up will be...

LMAO! Too many nasty pictures being conjured up...

That's cool. I always take my mom at least once and Brian and I try to go at least twice and his company has a skybox (or whatever those are called), but he keeps getting screwed out of those tickets. One of these years I'll get in one of those things!

Brian's friend's sister graduated in May 2002 from MSU with a bachelors in psychology.

Not for this year no (I'll wait to be pissed about that next fall - don't ya love how I schedule my temper tantrums ), I can't go to many games to begin with (max this year will be 4 unless I can score more free tickets like I have the last few years) - gotta save money for the wedding and the vacation we are taking in the fall. Yes, I know this stems from an early thread...
-
I'd be very pissed for one reason. At this point in time, a firstbaseman/DH type isn't the Sox' biggest problem. But, then again, this is the Sox and they always seem to fill holes they don't have or do lateral trades. I am not getting upset yet - I am will to refrain from being pissed until spring training.

Junior College (didn't have the money for Boston U where I was accepted): Daley Community College Sep 94 - May 96 Bachelors: University of Illinois at Chicago (Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering) Jan 1998 - Dec 2000 I'm an applications engineer. I wish there were more manufacturing engineering jobs available, but a good deal of those are either in Mexico or China (and India, I think).

Mine would be: Cubs, Bulls, Bears, Sox, Hawks. (Bears and Sox are about tied in my opinion. The Bears seem to not have to do anything to sell football here - the joys of a one team city.) -

I love the ad that looks like a missing poster. "Lost - One Calder Cup..." Another good one was the ad series for after they won the Calder Cup. It's a list of things you get for being a season ticket holder and the last line is 'Championship team included." -
Where the hell is Loaiza going? This is what scares me - we keep reading about players that the Sox are making no effort to hold on to, players they are trading, but who are we getting/keeping besides Thomas and Buehrle? (I know there are a few others, but just using exaggeration to make a point.)

Too bad the Wolves aren't on the list, I'd vote for them in a heart beat. Can they lend the people that make their ads to the Sox - those ads are hysterical and do a great job of selling the team. -

I was thinking the same thing, but I don't know if I can bring myself to do that... -
From a PR standpoint he wasn't a hit from what I remember. JR went on and on about how big contracts are bad for baseball and he gives him a huge contract. But then again, maybe my memory isn't working correctly this morning...

Talk about best of the worst... I can't pick one, they all suck like nothing that has ever sucked before. -
