  1. Shoo! I wasn't the only one experiencing technical difficulties...
  2. 1.) Any 'A Christmas Carol' 2.) A Very Merry Muppet Movie 3.) It's a Wonderful Life 4.) Holiday Inn 5.) The Laruel and Hardy's 'March of the Wooden Soldiers' I'm sure as people add theirs my list will change.
  3. Sure the hell know it wouldn't be me. I am so under-rated that I didn't even get a nomination for under-rated!
  4. Currently we have: 1GHz process (Pentium III), 64MB Video card (Nvdia Geforce 2), 40 Gig hard drive and 512 MB ram. It has ME and ME sucks ass. But we are planning to get a new kickass 'puter after the house is finished and everything is settled.
  5. He's not sure when they will send the grades out. He doesn't think he did well at all, but then again he didn't think he did well on the other three finals, but still managed to pass the courses - which is the objective here!
  6. THat's very true in Chicago. There are the Hawks away games and an occasional game on ESPN, but overall, not consistant hockey coverage. Even with the wolves you have to have comcast to get them on TV. I have a blast watching hockey on TV, especially in tight games. When there is someone or a group of someones in the sin bin, the play gets really good. But then again, I like watching NASCAR, so maybe it's another one of my quirks.
  7. When it was mentioned that a car crossed the median, I wondered if one of the drivers might have been impaired. Of course there are other reasons for crossing a median, but I guess it was impaired driving according the article...
  8. He definitely has the skills as a printer, his problem is his hate of taking tests. He works himself up over taking a test. Well, he should be either done or have about 30 minutes left for the test (his class is 9-12). Here's hoping for the best. Thanks for all the best wishes and crossed fingers!
  9. I love NASCAR. I started watching it for the crashes. Then I got into a certain driver - Jeff Burton and his brother Slingblade. You have to be into racing to be into it I guess. Certain races, I will watch only the first 25 and the last 25 laps. At tracks like Bristol, I watch the whole thing - Bristol is just like a demolition derby and the crashes are something else. NASCAR is definitely an acquired taste though.
  10. I hope this isn't true, but somehow, it wouldn't surprise me if it was. If it is true, we could be in for a long summer...
  11. LOL! You are on one heck of a roll lately Tex! Oh and THANKS!!!! I am going to be jittery all day until I talk to him to see how he did. I wish he had more confidence because I know he knows this stuff like the back of his hand (not the hand he broke working on the press, the other one, of course).
  12. I saw that on the NBC5 website...bizarre to say the least.
  13. Brian is taking his final exam for his last class towards his journeyman's card. If he passes this test (and class) he can take the exam for his card which entails running a multi-color printing press on his own (those machines that he works on are huge). He is terrible at taking tests, but he has passed the other three courses he needed for his card and this being the last one is making him panic. He had to wait 3 semesters before Triton finally offered the class and now because the union is talking about changing schools, this is his last chance (for a long while) to pass the course - I guess it will take a long time before they set up with another school to get the classes going again. If he passes this class, I plan on taking him for a steak dinner. So that means I get a steak dinner out of it as well. Thanks for all the finger crossing!
  14. I never had the opportunity to see him play, wish I had. RIP.
  15. I don't listen to much sports radio (more in the summer, but not much in the other seasons except college football time), too annoying. But I had to comment on the above comment. People started to expect from Loaiza after the first month or so - so to ride him was out of pure frustration because of the higher expectations. Colon should have been ridden when pulled early - that fat f*** didn't earn the cash he got last year, he rarely gave 100% out there, or so it seemed. Garland hasn't been much yet so there really is no expectation there, it doesn't surprise anyone when he is pulled. After Buehrle's start this season, I think expectations on him fluctuated from none to a bunch by the end of the year. But that is just my opinion. Also, does this have to do with the fact that the announcer is a woman rather than a man? The things you mentioned are regularly talked and b****ed about by male announcers. All that aside, if you don't like her (which seems to be the case), why listen? Turn off the radio or change the station until her show is over.
  16. I've never cared much for Rosenthal's articles so I tend to ignore them for the most part. Sorry, but I don't agree that $2.5M a year for a good reliever is over-paying, but what the heck do I know?
  17. The snowflake one is really cool. The deliver the presents one made me dizzy, but it was fun - it reminded me of an Atari 2600 game - Solaris - but with a Christmas tone rather than an outer space tone.
  18. This deal reminds me of the guy whose wife told him he has to sell his drag racing car. He prices the car so no one will buy it, but from what his wife can see he looks like his is trying to sell it. KW doesn't really want to 'sell' Maggs, but if he has to do so, he wants as much out of the transaction as possible. Not sure if it really applies or not, but it sort of seems that way.
  19. Nice bonuses. We aren't getting anything for Christmas at my job. The boss sprung for a little get together last Friday which was a blast. It was more than we expected though. NOTE: This is a yahoo link so I don't know how long it will be good.
  20. I told my fiance if I he ever cheated on me, I'd sell his Mercurys (he's got about 6 available for this) on him and then leave. It would hurt almost as much as losing his schlong and a lot less bloody.
  21. Most women I know (including me) would say she deserved that at the minimum. A family member is going through a divorce where his wife cheated and if the women in the family had their way, she'd have much worse than a broken nose.
  22. LMAO!!! You are on a roll today Tex!
  23. I've never heard of them either, but they sound really good. Chocolate and peanut butter...mmmmm
  24. Like I said, know thy wife and her reactions to things before cheating, hell, before marrying her. A friend of mine says that if she ever catches her hubby cheating, she'd go Lorena Bobbitt on him...I really think she would too!
