  1. And an expensive b**** at that. I guess that leaves her at finger print evidence. Hope she wasn't wearing gloves!
  2. I see about the last 2 (very good points), but the first one would be nothing more than circumstantial, I would think. All the other person would have to say is that she missed playing that week...
  3. Just a quick legal question, how can the person who claimed to lose the ticket, prove it was hers to claim a portion (or the entire) prize? Would something like this even be possible in this case? Even if it can be proved, can she be awarded anything since she lost it (are there laws on the books that thwart 'finders keepers?'

    Brrrrr....

Precisely why I am glad that he and I have our own cars and a pickup. It's also a good thing that the guy Brian works the press with lives a few blocks from us. In August of 2000 Brian had 3 cars at his disposal and none of them would start. His boss still gives him s*** about that (2 were Mercs (both Capris) and 1 was a Ford (pickup)).
  5. Good thinking. I think I will have to do the same soon.
  6. You said what I was thinking. I agree - lock this up and throw away the key.
  7. Agreed. It's one thing to disagree, it's another to sling such slanderous insults.
  8. LOL! Point taken! Then again, my future brother-in-law married one and is now getting taken to the cleaners...
  9. Days like these make my remote start priceless.
  10. Mint meltaways are my aunt's, my brother's and my favorite. My mom's favorite are the butter creams.
  11. lol There is no way to take public transportation from my house to work so no day off for me (thank God - if I did, that would be something isn't working on my car!). Gotta call mom in a few minutes to see if she made it to work without frostbite.
  12. I haven't had braces yet, but that is next on the agenda. Get the work done that I need done and then gear up for braces. Being 27 and having braces probably won't be fun, but gotta get it done.
  13. Pretty much confirms what I suspected and what I've been told. Once a worthless whore, always a worthless whore.
  14. I know I am going to regret asking this, but what exactly is happening in that picture? It appears eyeballs are getting prodded...but I am not entirely sure...
  15. I wish the dentist from my teen years was listed - he was a great dentist. He helped me a great deal with my fears. I think I like the fact he was honest with me, never did the 'This won't hurt a bit!' routine. If it was gonna hurt, he said so. He would also relate ways to relax while in 'the chair.' If I end up at the dentist I think I will, I will probably have a heart attack in the chair. Brian's family all goes to him, but he is apparently old school when it comes to dental equipment...
  16. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks/says this!
  17. Looks like a dentist found me, so to speak. My fiance's dentist is now on my insurance - as of about 2 months ago he wasn't so I guess that is whom I am going to call for an appointment.
  18. I am finally getting around to making a dentist appointment and it is rather frustrating. First, I have to figure out which plan my coverage falls under (no one, insurance or HR) wants to tell me straight out. Next I have selected 7 local dentists and now have begun to call and see who is accepting new patients with my insurance. I have left several messages and hope to hear back the same day (if not, start again tomorrow with list B ). If that wasn't enough to make me afraid of the dentist, my last interaction (1.5 yrs ago - I know, I know - changing jobs and insurance provides can cause a person to delay going to the dentist) was a painful one. I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed at the same time and there were complications - so bad, that my oral surgeon said I should have been in the hospital for the procedure. My face was swollen and bruised for 2+ weeks because of the complications. I know I have a bit of work that needs to be done and my fear of more complications is high. It's sort of funny because I was terrified of the dentist until I was about 14, then I didn't mind the dentist a bit until the oral surgery. Now, I am petrified with fear about getting back to the dentist. I am hoping one or two visits will calm my fears... Anyone have any ideas on how to quell the fears before hopping into the chair?
  19. I agree 110%. I'm 27 and I feel like I am just beginning to live.
  20. LOL! That was way before us (I was only 12 when he was a senior in HS). The basket I was referring to was a girl he had a serious crush on that really was only interesting in friendship with him. Sad thing is, she was killed in a car wreck a few weeks after HS graduation. It screwed him up really bad for a while.
  21. From what I have seen, people before they were famous aren't what they are once the become famous. My best friend's brother dated Jenny McCarthy in HS and my fiance knew her through a good friend of his in HS. According to my best friend's brother, she wasn't all that back then (most of what you see is plastic according to him) and had no personality to boot. My fiance doesn't say much about her (I don't think he knew her, just knew of her because of a mutual friend), but I got the impression that had he not put his eggs in one basket, he might have tried to get a date with her.
  22. In HS I was a cross-country runner and in marching band (clarinet - plan on resurrecting my clarinets this year some time). In HS, Brian was a championship swimmer, marching band (percussion) and he mentioned that he played some soccer and baseball. Some intramural (sp?) basketball as well.
