Royals bracing for Greinke's prolonged absence
witesoxfan replied to SSH2005's topic in The Diamond Club
QUOTE(aboz56 @ Mar 3, 2006 -> 11:28 AM) There is speculation on the Royals MLB board that the kid may have bi-polar disorder or some type of depression problems unrelated to baseball. If that is the case, he needs to get better and not worry about baseball. I've got a family member who was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder and it can truly wreck a person's (or an entire family) life. I have a friend who had an uncle that had bi-polar disorder. Great guy - I recall a story I heard about how he went from store to store for about an hour or more trying to find chocolate yogurt - so yeah, he was a bit weird too. But he was funnier than hell, great dad, great husband - just a great man in general. He stopped taking his medication, and he's no longer with us. Bi-polar is horrible...any type of emotional problems are bad. Let Greinke heal up, get his head on straight, get some confidence in himself as a person and a player, and then let him take the field again. -
Heads you suck Now thanks to you, the Sox are horrible Good flippin' job

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 1, 2006 -> 06:20 PM) The Bills released Sam Adams and Lawyer Milloy. No news yet on Eric Moulds. The Bills need Ngata like no other at this point.

How many rounds are we gonna do? First day? 5? Entire thing? Also...are we going to be able to trade players, or not so much - probably actually shouldn't be able to, since this is just a draft and everything.

I would definately have to say Simpsons on this one. :headshake I must agree with the previously mentioned Playmakers and TV Funhouse. Both were gone way before they should have been.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 07:22 PM) I was actually a big fan of Danny Wright... too bad he had those arm problems and everything... Still Vazquez was one of my favorite non-sox pitchers to watch last season. He had his rough patches but other times was absolute filthy. I liked him too Good stuff, just had no command. Had he ever found some command, he would have been a solid starter, and I personally thought he had meanass reliever written all over him. What ever happened to him? I seem to recall he was released - anyone picked him up since?

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 10:56 PM) . . . says the man who will not be making it. Whouldn't something along those lines look incredibly cluttered? NEVER I dunno...probably. Maybe if you do it right, it would look awesomes

QUOTE(toasty @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 10:29 PM) i've an idea.... why not make it one of the whole team???? ^^^ I was just going to suggest something along those lines It would be hella time consuming - but it would be worth it.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 05:29 PM) Paul for me no question. Pods was amazing but it was more a relief after blowing the game. Paulie's was ridiculous. I don't even know what I did when it happened, I can't remember. Something about jumping all over random people, etc. I think I remember what I did. My hands still hurt to the day. It was also something like wite: OMFG NUKE YOU f***IN CALLED THAT s*** wite: NO f***IN WAY Or something to the extent I remember quite well that it was one of those things you almost expected, but even when it happened, you couldn't believe it. It was just amazing.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 06:45 PM) I'd have to say. Willie Pitching Defense Timely Hitting In that order. Pretty sure Widge was the only reason we won.

QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 09:20 AM) I think he tried to cut someones head off and than light them on fire. Hey you gotta admire his competive spirit. I would have settled for just cutting there head off. A little twisted, but funny nonetheless

Bad News: Son little league team is the cubs
witesoxfan replied to KeithFranklin's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Rockies, Royals, Brewers, Dodgers, Phillies(x2), Mariners, Pirates Rockies was awesome cuz I was in first grade at the time, the coaches still pitched, the baseballs we used were still soft, and according to any player in the league, their team was undefeated. That was awesome. Royals sucked - I hit the ball twice all year, and only 1 was a hit. Brewers was better, as I hit the ball a little more, but not much more than that. Dodgers was awesome - we were like the worst team ever, but I didn't care. I hit a homer against the Blue Jays, and when I got to the dugout, I yelled "Eat that Blue Jays," which coming from a 4th grader is pretty much like yelling f*** you to the other team. My dad asked me about it later that night, and I got all sad - looking back, it was kind of funny. My first year with the Phillies we were awful, won 2 games all season, but then won our first game of the tournament - like friggin 10-runned em - and then got pwned in the next two games. The second year was better, as we won like 6 games. I also stole home - I got my 8 foot lead after the ball crossed the plate, the catcher threw the ball back to the pitcher, and the second I saw him turn his back to me I was home. There was no play whatsoever. Mariners was fun, as I went from like the 9 hitter in the lineup early in the season and being a hole in the lineup to batting 2nd by the end of the year and constantly being on base. Stealing bases left and right, just awesome. We got destroyed in the tournament, but whatever. Pirates was the best. Lost the first game in the tournament, and our coach basically said he was lost and didn't know what to tell us. We then went and had a little home run derby afterwards, did the same thing the next day, and we won every game after that. -
Thomas takes high road in response to Williams

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 11:44 PM) It was actually .219. I'm very well aware of that. I also kept in mind how much time he had missed and the fact he was never 100%. I also look at the fact we scored almost a run more per game than we did in the games he didn't play. The impact was made. I also still stand by my statement that we do not win the division if not for Thomas, thus pretty much not allowing the Sox to win the World Series. -

QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 09:06 PM) Very classy Kenny. That is a f***in low blow that was completely unnecessary. KW not allowing any pictures of Thomas in White Sox facilities is horrible too. The organization can retire Baines' number while he is still an active player, yet they can't have pictures of the greatest hitter in Sox history, because KW doesn't like him? I think even Frank realized he went too far, thus taking what was left of a high road after the fact. KW is stooping to childish insults seen on message boards and making himself look very unprofessional in all of this - what is he accomplishing with all the comments and the pictures being torn down? EDIT: I'm an idiot. No way in hell KW said this. If he did, it would be everywhere...like seriously friggin everywhere. -
