I just want the Sox to win it atleast once. Like I said, once the Sox win it, the Cubs can do whatever they damn well please. But Ill still want the Sox to win it. Also, just for the record, I hate the Twins much more than the Cubs...
Heres a list of reasons I wont root for the Cubs:
-They have Sammy Sosa
-I like Andruw Jones
-Cubs cant win before Sox (if Sox win it all in 2004, then the Cubs can do whatever the f*** they want)
-My brother is a Cubs, the crap Id put up with if they won is unacceptable
-If there was a Bible for Sox fans, hating the Cubs would be the 1st Commandment (maybe we should write that)
Ill think of more...
God help us if Cito is manager. He has two rings but all he had to do was put the same team out on the field over and over and then supervise. He wont be able to do that with this team...
Its a common pattern that good players are s***ty managers. Roger Hornsby, who one would think would be a great teacher of the game, was a terrible manager. Their expectations are typically too high...
There was some 1Bman around that time who admitted to throwing many games. I think his name was Hal Chase. But either way, the 1919 Sox were just the scapegoat for corruption in the game in that era...
Id say, in no particular order:
-Frank Thomas game winning homerun
-the stretch right after the AS break, specifically the Royals sweep
-the 12 game stretch against the Flubs and Twins...
your right i spent about an hour just looking around for a sox website to start s*** on. RIGHT! i knew this site before most of you, and let me ask you how easy it is to find a devoted cubs that live near you in Socal cuz if they are there i know them, but cmon how many times will i get the chance to brag about this.
By the way the wste of human life thing is pretty low since im not the one spending my whole day online talking to people.
Guess you prove our point then. The Cubs truly suck so go on and brag about this while you can...
